I have a whirlpool dry mod#5636 in my home I have 110 the cord on the dryer is for 220 can I change it to 110 and will it work right..


No it will not,dryers with 110 volt plugs heat on gas,220 dryers heat with electric,putting a 110 vac plug on dryer for 220vac,the motor will run but it will not heat
your 2 options are

1) have a electrician come and run 220 vac circuit

2) purchase a gas dryer

My GE dryer has no heat but runs. Also when you put the setting on more dry or less dry the dryer will run for hours, but will run the correct time on the timed dry setting. Either way the dryer will not...

Maytag neptune gas dryer dryer will run but the igniter will only ignite part of the time, thought we had a bad igniter put in a new one, it lit up right away dryed one load completely dry, put in the next...

The gas dryer won't stay heated up.


Do you have stacked clothes on top of it or anything else? If so remove those items and never put anything on there. it's not a table it needs to be clear so heat can dissipate from cabinet. IF that doesn't solve it write bac
