Stuck on dvd

I have a 55511 Mitsubishi 1080i series, and for some reason it is stuck in DVD mode. I try to change the device and neither the remote or the button on the tv will change it. The remote works for everything else, and you can cycle through the other devices in the menu but you are unable to select any other ones. Please help thanks

no remote functions - channel 3 comes in only - any attempt to change the channel results in returning to channel 3.

Try pressing MENU 123 in sequence. this will reset all settings back to factory defaults.

I have a Sony RDR-GX360. Some how I have changed the command mode from DVD1 to DVD 3. Now my remote has frozen and I can't do anything with the DVR player. Is there a reset button or please help.

To fix the Sony remote dvd-1 dvd-2 dvd-3 issue is to take the remote for that recoreder into another room or unplug the dvd recorder a moment. Then hold down the enter key and the number of the mode its stuck in ie if its stuck in dvd-1 mode hold down the enter key and then the 1 key. hold both buttons together for 3 seconds. After this go back into the room and try it or if you unpluged tthe player replug it back in. The remote has to be away from the player to work. again example

get away from player different room so it can not sence remote. Hold down enter and 1 button for 3 seconds and then try it
if its stuck in dvd-2 mode dold down enter and the number 2 button together for 3 secondsd and try it. The idea is you have to be far away from the recorder so it dosent recieve any inputs from the remote while doing this.bigsmile.gifclap.gifagreed.gifpuh2.gifbowdown.gifeek.gif To fix the Sony remote dvd-1 dvd-2 dvd-3 issue is to take the remote for that recoreder into another room or unplug the dvd recorder a moment. How do i change from 480i to 1080i on my mitsubishi ws55315

You can't. Depending on what the output device is sending and what input you are using ion the back, it chooses for you.

ie - if you have a DVD player sending out 480 the TV will only allow different versions of 480.

Trouble changing device

Your problem may be solved by re-initializing the set. With the tv on use the remote and push MENU,2,1,7,0. A display will come up. Use the up down arrows on the remote to select INITIAL and press the enter key on the remote. That should do it.

Make sure that there are no discs in the player.

1. Turn it on
2. Press "Setup" on the remote
3. Press the down button twice on the remote
4. Press the right button once on the remote
5. Press the up button once on the remote
6. Press "Ok" on the remote

You should now be back into interlace mode.

Tv wont respond because device menu is changing through each device

I had a similar problem: my WS-55511 would not respond to the remote and the front control buttons (with the exception of Power) cycled through the Device Menu. I solved this problem by disconnecting the front panel. Here's how to do it: 0. Unplug the TV
1. Remove the speaker grill from the front by pulling forward: there are no screws. 2. Disconnect the two cables that are exposed after the grill is removed. 3. Plug the TV back in, wait for 5 minutes to reset. 4. Try using the remote.  Hope this helps!

Sharp Aquos LC-32D43U

To adjust screen size, choose the View Mode feature on the top right of the remote control. Zoom size is full screen for watching DVD movies, but sometimes there is still a thin black band due to the formatting of the dvd (unless you buy full screen versions) S. Stretch view mode is best for TV Movies.(usually fills whole screen) Occasionally there are TV movies which just don't respond to being stretched to fill the screen, it's just the way the signal is coming through . 1080i/p detects the resolution of the signal and displays the same number of pixels on the screen, but a 720p signal input will be viewed in full screen.

High Def.

If you are using the component inputs it will select 1080i automatically IF that is what it is being sent. Make sure your device (cable/satellite receiver) is set to 1080i. The TV recognizes 480i, 480p(progressive scan DVD player) and 1080i. It DOES NOT recognize 720p. Since it has no HDMI or DVI input it can't do HD DVD or "upconvert" DVD but it does very nicely with 480p/progressive scan.
