There is often a screen located in the hose end ... you can clean, replace or remove the screen and always replace the hose washers but its far better to replace both hoses with good quality new ones .. the safe lifetime of the hoses is only a few years ... so its a good idea to replace them every few years anyhow ... while you have the hoses off you can check water flow to make sure the shut off valves are not clogged .. (make sure they were both fully "on" to start with) .. if there is good water flow and the screens are not clogged then you may have a clogged solonoid valve (just inside the machine at the water inlets) (has wires going to it also)

My GWL10 fills really slowly. It starts fine with the hot water, then slows to a trickle when it switches to cold but it doesn't seem to affect it if I change the temperature selection. I normally leave it...

sounds like you have a restriction on the cold water water pipe kinked or a blockage turn off cold water and remove pipe from cold tap then turn tap on and see if water is coming through fast enough if it is then the restriction is in the hose or valve on washing machine if not then the restriction is in the cold water tap

Slow cold water fill, now no rinse/spray cycle

There is a filter screen inside the cold water valve.
Remove the hose, then take the filter screen out and clean it.
Replace it in the valve.
Problem solved until it stops up again.

Not working

Disconnect water hoses from machine. Inspect the filter screen on the cold and hot water connection. DO NOT REMOVE SCREEN. If full of debris, use a spray bottle with a hard spray to remove debris. If unable to remove debris or water flow is still slow, replace valve.

Kenmore washer

Disconnect cold water hose from machine. Inspect the filter screen on the cold water connection. DO NOT REMOVE SCREEN. If full of debris, use a spray bottle with a hard spray to remove debris. If unable to remove or cold is still slow, replace valve. As far as the spin is concerned, inspect the bottom of the gearcase for oil. If oil is present, the oil has migrated to the clutch causing it to slip during spin.
