Re: f 2 error code
F2 usually means that there was an over temperature condition in the oven cavity. A stalled cooling fan could be a related condition. The usual causes are:
Welded relay contacts. In this case you'll need a new ERC
Cooling fan stalled or blocked air flow to rear of unit.
High resistance inoven sensor leads or connectors.

code F7 means that an error with the keypad has occurred. Usually it happens
due to loose ribbon cable on the keypad or the electronic control assembly
itself going bad. To resolve this issue first, disconnect the power to unit and
then gain access to the back of the clock assembly (Electronic Range
Control/ERC). Now unplug the touch pad ribbon connector from the ERC, it would
be a flat wire approx. 1 1/2" to 2" wide and make sure that the cable
is not broken and nothing is shorted on the keypad. After this is done insert
the cable back and then plug the unit back to check. If the error is still
there then the electronic control board should be replaced. Hope
this helps...please post back for further assistance.
F1 Defective Touch Pad or Membrane Replace Touch Pad or Membrane F2 Oven over heat defective Relay Board or (if present) or defective Sensor never heard of an F1-2 code but they make new stuff everyday. Go to this link to get tech data: Maytag library of manuals
Well first of all you determine if problem is with the Key Panel or Control by: 1. Pushing CLEAR/OFF pad. 2. Disconnecting Ribbon Cable from control and waiting at least 32 seconds to see if Code recurs If code recurs, problem is in the control. Replace control. If code does not recur, problem is with the Key Panel.
This error code F7 means Function pad button stuck or Bad clock: Unstick button or Replace Electronic Range Control (ERC)...... Post comments for more help or information........
f-7 means either the touch pad is stuck or a relay on the control board is stuck. if the code came up while the oven was not being used then the touch pad is shorted. if it came up while in use then the controlboard is bad
