Question about Computers & Internet
I-inc model CY199D LCD Monitor. The indicator light alternates between blue and amber, won't turn on. Is there a fix for this? Thank You. Rob in NY PH. 315 727 2245
First, want to be certain that your monitor is faulty. If you can, connect to another computer. If it doesn't work, bad monitor.
Wiggle the VGA cable. If there is a display, your VGA cable is bad.
Test your computer with another monitor. Are you certain that your computer is powering on OK ?
These steps should narrow down the problem.
If your monitor needs to be serviced, it probably has burnt out electronic components and more likely is an EEPROM problem. Not certain of the cost to repair. It may not be worth repairing.
Hope this helps.

Try the lcd monitor on another computer / signal source.
If the problem remains The lcd monitor has detected a fault and won't turn on. The blinking pattern may indicate a self diagnostic message but I'm not fimiliar with the brand.
You will have to take the monitor to a repairer to get the monitor repaired.
I can only guess at the fault in the display, possibly the power board has failed - few components might need to be replaced to get it working again or the whole board. But again take it to a repairer that can take apart the display, test it, find the fault and fix it.
