Bosch Self Venting

Could you tell me how efficient the bosch self venting dryers are? Have you heard of any problems? Do they have a long life-span?

Re: Bosch Self Venting

If you're asking about the Condensation - No Venting Required feature:

I've had one for about 4 years with no complaints. I have used plenty of traditional dryers -- even models with moisture sensors. In all of them, it was common to find clothing that was "hot to the touch" when finished.

Every Bosch load finishes with a hint of moisture. I believe this is the Bosch "anti-wrinkle" standard -- but have never used one of their vented dryers. Even a 10 min fluff seems to add a hint of moisture to the load. Either way, you can't throw everything in the laundry basket and leave it for a week.

Europe is short on McMansions -- favoring tiny old homes without proper laundry rooms. Ventless is the norm -- rather than the exception over there. The Bosch works as advertised --producing a trace amount of ambient moisture and/or heat.
Mildew can be an issue -- depending on the dryer's location -- and the areas relative temperature / humidity.

Functions best in a fully climate controlled indoor location.

Re: Bosch Self Venting

Depends on which model you are talking about. The Axxis dryer which is the smaller unit has a max vent run of 20 feet and is extremely dependable. The Nexxt dryer which is the larger unit has a max vent run of 66 feet and moves around 107 to 115 CFM of air. It also is an excellent unit. Both are designed for a 10 yr life span. If you have the room, the larger unit is better for family use.

My bosch gas dryer has a E01 code, would like to known what that is.

It could be a venting problem. Check the lint filter and the vent pipe to make sure they are not clogged with lint. I have heard that greased lighting works well for cleaning the fine lint filter. Also check where the pipe vents and make sure it is clear. Sometimes vent caps have the mesh screens left on them. When cap vents are used the small mesh screen should be removed so any lint that blows through can clear the venting system. I hope this helps. Link for cleaner:

Hi. I have a Bosch WTE84100 Dryer which leaks water and produces very hot damp clothes after several hours of drying. The dryer is just two years old and I don't know what to do?

Hi. You have a venting issue. The moist air is not getting out of the dryer and is building up inside the venting. Look behind the unit and make sure the vent is not crimped or crushed, probably best just to replace the venting. As well, you may need to have the duct from the wall to the outside cleaned by a duct service. I'd replace the flexible duct from the dryer to the wall first (you can get this at a hardware store, 4" dryer flex duct) and then run the dryer and go outside to see if you feel any air coming out of the exterior vent. If not, then have someone out to clean it. Good luck, hope this helps.

Bosch Classixx tumble dryer just stopped heating - has never been very efficient from day 1. is only 12 months old! any suggestions?

Sounds like a blown thermostat, usually caused by venting problem. If you live in a condo maybe there is a lint screen in the wall that you're not checking

Bosch Dryer doesn't dry clothes

With the dryer not connect to the external venting turn the dryer on and see if there is air coming out ot the vent from the dryer. Is this flow of air strong or weak?
If weak then there could be a problem inside the dryer some where. Perhaps the fan is not operating properly. Just my thoughts.

You say you have check the beginning and end of the duck vent pipe. How about seeing if it venting duct is clear from one end to the other.

Good luck

Bosch Dryer venting

i think you will find that one of these caps should be off and preferably connected to a vent hose to go outside the house. the reason they are blowing off is that the air has nowhere to go
