Question about Car CD Changers
I have a Goodmans GCE7205USB2 car stereo and it will only play CD's and MP3 out of the left speaker. When the radio is on it plays out of both.... what is going on and how do I fix it?
When I first got my Ka, the wiring between the car and the door was snapped. If you open the door there is a rubber tubing, if u assume 2 wires are snapped and try 2 pull them together through the rubber tubing you should hear a crackle if thats the fault. Even if you do not, it will almost certainly be this. To fix it, you need 2 use a stanley knife 2 cut open the rubber tubing then connect the to snapped wires together. I did this by getting a small amount of speaker cable and adding it 2 both ends, using plenty of insulation tape. This is the most common fault for speaker problems in the Ka.
Hope this Helps

The procedure for mostly all Honda CRVs are the same as follows:
1) Turn off your radio with the ignition switch turned on.
2) Press #1 and #6 on your radio simultaneously. While holding these numbers pressed in, turn on the radio and watch the console on the radio. It will display two sets of numbers which will switch back and forth like U251 1 and L362 2. Take these numbers down and call any Honda dealer with them. With these numbers, any Honda dealer will be able to get you the code. If you are lucky they may not charge you but it will be worth a small fee.
The dealer will give you a number like 42351 or so. Turn your ignition off and enter these numbers - then turn your ignition back on and your radio should come on. Keep fiddling with this procedure until you hit it right.

SOURCE: cant play cds
Easy peasy (for me at least).
Disconnect the battery, then...
... reconnect the battery
Just done it to mine - all hunky dory.
The CD 'rebooted' - equivalent to turning a PC off and on again!
Delighted to save the time and expense of visiting a garage!

It might be a Bose system. I usually remove stuck CD's by grasping the edge with a pair of tweezers and pulling slowly, there will be some resistance. Try to reset first by removing the fuse for about 30 seconds and after it powers up again (don't turn it on yet) push the eject button.
