If the lamp comes on then shuts off immediately, you may need a new ballast. if it comes on and shuts off when you see a flash of light on the screen, it's a power supply grounding problem and needs to be sent in for repair. if there is no lamp strike and you don't hear a high-pitched whir, the colorwheel is bad. either way, you'll need to send it in for repair. try av solutions (www.avsolutionsny.com). they're pretty good. they are an infocus service center.

I changed the lamp in my sp7210 the new lamp is working fine but.

just to be sure you have the correct timer reset procedure: power the projector up, press and hold down the 2 brightness buttons for at least 10 seconds. if that doesn't work, you'll need to upgrade the firmware. go to the infocus website.

Hello,
On the projector you will see 2 buttons for adjusting the brightness, with the projector on press both the brightness up and down at the same time.
Hold them both pressed for 10 seconds. This will reset the lamp timer.

Take Care!

Can't start infocus sp7200 after changing lamp.

The end of lamp timer has reached it's limit and won't let the new lamp strike. What you need to do is Reset the end of life timer. To do this, with the projector switched off press and hold both the up and down Brightness buttons on the projector. while holding them in turn on the projector. Continue holding the buttons in for 10 to 15 seconds This will reset the end of life timer in the projector.

Cheers

TURN PROJECTOR ON. FAN TURNS ON NO LAMP, RED SATUS LIGHT COMES ON

Bulb timer has expired. Press the left arrow, right arrow and power switch simultaneously for a few seconds. The projector should power up, but this indicates that a new bulb is required and should be fitted as soon as possible, as there is a risk of the old bulb exploding.

the ballast is bad. the fan turns on for the colorwheel, but when the lamp doesn't strike, the fan and colorwheel turn off until it tries again. unfortunately, there are no replacement parts for the lp130.
