Problem with teka DW6 29 F1 dishwasher

The dishwasher is powering up, and water can be heard going into the system, but it is draining straight away without going through any of the programs. There is a tone to indicate the cycle has finished and all the light flash on but nothing has happened.
I have had a repair man out to have a look, who took it away for a week but he scratched his head and could not find the problem.

SOURCE: Danby DDW396W won't drain

If you remove the cover, you will discover that there are two motors inside. The larger one on the right runs to fill the machine and spray the water during washing. The smaller one on the left drains it. Oiling this motor, or manually actuating it by spinning the wheel between cycles may solve your problem.

hi Because the timer controls many operations, a faulty timer can cause many problems. The timer is a complex component, so you shouldn't attempt a do-it-yourself repair. Test the timer with a VOM set to the RX1 scale. To gain access to the timer, remove the front control panel. The timer is directly behind the main timer control knob. Disconnect one of the timer's terminal wires and clip one probe of the VOM to each terminal. If the meter reads zero, the timer is working. If the meter reads higher than zero, the timer is faulty and should be replaced.

If possible, use the same procedure to test the selector and cycle switches. The wiring hookup, however, may be too complicated to figure out on either of these switches. If you aren't sure you can deal with these switches, call a professional service person. Replace a faulty timer -- or a faulty control switch -- with a new one made for the dishwasher.

The timer is connected to several wires that supply power to operate the various functions of the dishwasher. To replace the timer, have a helper hold the new timer next to the old one. Connect the wires of the new timer one by one, removing the old wire and connecting the new, to make sure you connect the wires correctly. The wires may be friction-fit on the terminals. If they are, use long-nosed pliers to remove the wires. Don't pull up on the wires, or you may break the connection between the wires and the clips.

After connecting the wires, set the new timer in position, secure it the way the old one was secured, and replace the control panel and knobs.

SOURCE: Whirlpool dishwasher will not start

There is a small replacable part on the control panel circuit board which is like a fuse. It actually is a temperature fuse and it blows when the environment gets too hot for the circuit board. Unplug the dishwasher and take the door apart so you can see the circuit board. If you trace the power wires one of them leads to a little white module with 2 electrical tabs. Unplug the 2 wires and unsnap the module. You can check it with an ohm meter. IF its good the meter will register almost a short. f it's bad it will be open. The parts place I went to didn't even need a model number and he says he goes through a lot of them.

Our fisher and paykel dishdrawer won't wash. It comes up with F1 and flashing light on control panel.

the dynamo dishwashing stuff has caused foaming which reached the base of the dishdrawer unit causing the flood switch to trip. This gives F1 error.
Not sure how much foaming has occured.

Best to turn off power and take power cable out from socket. then empty the drawer using towels. pull out the bottom drawer and wait a day or so to let the foam disappear from the bottom of dishwasher (under the bottom drawer). Connect the power and see if F1 had gone. If not, you need more work. Post a comment based on the above suggestion and I will guide you further if required. Always use Finish dishwasher power only (recommended quantity) as the drawers are small and don't need much detergent.

No water on start up

This is an old question, but my answer may help someone. I experienced the same after having had a new dishwasher installed. Switched it on, it made all the humming noises, heard running water then nothing. Simple solution was on checking the plastic plug was still in the drain spigot and the hose had been connected over the top of it so no water could drain away.

Thanks for using FixYa.
F1 error means that the flood switch has been activated. You'll need to reset it by powering off the breaker or by unplugging the unit from the power socket and mains for more than five minutes. Please check that there is no blockage in the drain hose and it is not raised higher otherwise the water will run back to the dishwasher. Also perform the following procedure---

    • Unplug power and remove bottom dish drawer
    • Use a Sponge and dry all the excess water underneath
    • Remove circuit board cover
    • Dry all around and underneath as much as possible
    • Apply hairdryer for 10-15min

Please rate the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

I have a single draw F&P Dishwasher and get the error F1, turned off the power and still same problem, but in the last 2 or 3 loads of washing dishes not all the water has been gone, always about 2cm...

most likely you have a leaky drain hose.
Have you checked if sink drain is clear (no back flow)
Turn dishwasher power off.
Empty all the water using a small container and towels.
Get the drawer out (remove front cover first by taking the side pins out and carefully lifting it).

Check behind to see water lying on the floor of dishwasher housing. If leaky drain hose you will have to replace it.
Dry the base of the dishwasher (towels and dryer) otherwise F1 will not go away.

How do u clean the pump and drain hose on a teka dishwasher? please help

buy Finish dishwasher cleaning kit from the super market and follow the instructions on how to use it. The cleaning kit should be run with empty dishwasher.

THis should help clean the pump and drain hose.

It would help if you mention the model number of your dishwasher. It is hard to get an english manual for Teka.

I tried this site
but they all seem to be in European languages.

My teka dishwasher does not drain properly and there is water left in the bottom after the cycle has finished

Means that your pump is obstructed. Clean the filters out and if tha does not work clean your pump and drainhose.
That will solve your problem
