Bluetooth I have just bought an acer aspire 5536 laptop and I just wanted to know if bluetooth was available on it as I read the quick guide and when I pressed the button to activate the bluetooth it comes up with a red cross on it. Does this mean that this model does not support this function?

NO. You need to activate it before use.

Press the "Bluetooth" button found just above the keyboard. The LED above the button should illuminate.

Click "Start," "Control Panel" and "Add a Device." Your Acer scans for other Bluetooth devices in the area.

Click the name of the device in the window that appears, and click "Next" to establish a connection with the external device.

There are six sub models included in the model number you have given and according to the acer website none of the specifications indicate that there is wirelss bluetooth built into the laptop. So it appears that it does not.

I think your laptop fan is not working well. try a laptop coolpad having 3 fans or one large fan available in every computer shop. it may reduce the heat.

I cannot get my bluetooth working on my laptop i press the butto but it comes up with a red cross and cannot find the blue tooth icon anywhere or pair it with my phone

the 5536-5224 DOESN'T have bluetooth. It has the button but it's not functional. You have to buy a bluetooth chip and install it. Believe me I know, I did it. You can install all the drivers you want but without putting in the chip you will never have bluetooth.

Acer aspire 5536 its touchpad seems to be broken no left click but can right click and scoll

if theirs no left click wen you tap the touch pad you have to enable that from pointer options if theirs no left click from the left click buton you need to take it to waranti

I cant get my question mark to work. When i press the button é shows up. é is in green on my keyboard. How do I access the question mark . My laptop is a Acer Aspire 5536.

Check that the Fn Key is enabled. Press Fn to release it and check now.

Acer currently maintain a wide variety of models of notebook computer in the current range, and for any given range of notebooks the onboard options may vary but the case remains constant across the range for each series of notebook. This means that some machines will have case buttons that lack functionality. The most common of these are the Bluetooth and Wireless LAN toggles on the front of many of the cases. You may have the button but the device isn't there, it is only on the more expensive models. Easily fixed by getting a USB Bluetooth adaptor
