You'll have to remove the cover, then lift up the U.FL connector on the board, and then use the pliers to squeeze the plastic antenna housing. That should be it. It uses the standard SMA connector. Find the Netgear dgn2000 user manual here if you need it: Netgear dgn2000 manual

Not able to browse the sites using Netgear DGN2000 router...

May be good to disable all additional settings. e.g. firewall or Port forwarding. I am assuming that you are able to authenticate (connect with user id + password) as you mentioned youtube works fine. So in that case, there shouldnt be a basic issue but more of a port forwarding or nat. Also check your laptop for any setting changes or personal firewalls.
Try pinging local gateway, then DNS then any international website. Based on that you can focus on the problematic area.

I've got a working internet connection through the DGN2000 from a Vista laptop, and an Ubuntu PC. The Ubuntu PC uses a D-Link USB Wireless dongle. When I try to use the Netgear WN111V2 dongle, I cannot...

ubuntu's wireless support is flakey, but it improved with Ubuntu 9.04

I had a similar problem in Ubuntu 8.10 with Netgear WNDA3100. Recommend that you install Ubuntu 9.04 -- to get your Netgear wireless-N USB device working.

How do I remove the antenna from a Netgear DGN2000, to fit a more powerful one? It doesn't seem to screw on/off, and I'm hesitating a bit before trying to pop it loose with a screwdriver!

Hi,

Please do not try to remove antenna from this router as it does not support detachable antenna. You might cause harm to the hardware and render it useless. It is not possible to remove/attach antennas on this router.

Hope this helps.
