Your problem could be a faulty timer switch, faulty motor, broken belt, or belt that has slipped off of the motor pulley or idler arm pulley.
If you have a front loading machine, remove the front to expose the belt and drum, this will tell you if you have a belt problem...if you remove the drum and belt, this will expose the motor with pulley and idler arm pulley. You can then check the motor.
While you have the drum out, I also recommend that you lubricate the shaft of the drum rollers with a good grade of Machine Oil....such as 3 in One oil...this will save problems later down the line.
Good luck,
Hope this helps

I have an admiral electric dryer. It stopped in the middle of a cycle and the light is out and it won't turn on. I checked the fuse box, the plug and the belt is still on, so what do I do now?

Did you test the power outlet with another device...Sometimes a power outlet will fail under the load of a high current appliance like a drier...If the drier runs on 220 volt current...and have circuit breakers instead of fuses...make sure the 220 volt breaker for the dryer is not tripped...If it is tripped...reset it....if not...have a tech to check the outlet. oncee it is established that the drier is getting power and still not working...you may want to get it checked out by service personnel....Hope this was helpful....PEACE.....

Dryer just turned off in the middle of a cycle and now wont start up????? is there an over heat button on the dryer motor ?????

The first suggestion is to check the circuit breaker in you house fuse box. If the breaker is not tripped this usuallly indicated that the dryer has a failed component link the timer, door switch, or motor.

Help

Hi,

You will need to check for any blown fuses or tripped circuit breakers. Electric dryers should have the wiring checked at the terminal block to make sure that the connection is good, or to verify that the connection is burnt out.

If the power is there, you have to check the door switch, thermal fuse, thermostats, and start switch to see if one of these is faulty.

Good Luck and have a nice day

Rating the solution is highly appreciated

Dryer was working, quit in middle of cycle. Will

It's rather unusual for any internal failure to cause the dryer to just stop in cycle. Check the circuit breaker that supplies the dryer. It should be a double-pole breaker of at least 30 amps. Turn the breaker off and back on to ensure it is reset. Internal causes could be the motor, door switch, thermal safety switch, timer, or a broken wire.

Kenmore Ultra Care Dryer- Electric

Your dryer doesnt have a fuse. Your home breaker panel is the only protection it has..Check your circuit breaker box for a tripped breaker.
