My lens protector on my cyber shot s980 gets stuck or opens really slow sometimes.Also when I play videos back on my camera the volume is hard to hear even with it turned all the way up.

The lens assy. has gone bad if it is making noise. If it is only stuck and not moving the power supply link is broken and supply is not reaching the lens assy motor. May be the SMD fuse would have blown in power supply circuit. May be you can seek the service manual from me and this calls for highly skilled workmanship and tools.

You have a bad lens, it prob. also says turn off and on again.

Hi,
This problem basically arries due to malfunctioning of the zoom moter and due to this "Access" appears on lcd. To rectify this problem you guys have to change the lens block assembly.
