Question about Microwave Ovens
Hello I have a whirlpool mh1160xsb over range microwave that has started buzzing right after it starts cooking. I've peered through the vents at the top while it's making the noise and it seems like its coming from what looks like a transformer. My question is can I fix this cheaply myself or do I just need to get another microwave? The warranty just ran out on this unit. Thank you.
It depends on if it is just a loose component that needs tightened up or if it has started failing. it will require some investigation and trial and error to resolve. I have had some success in resolving vibrations and some were real challenges. It is a matter of isolating the noise maker and seeing what can be done.
