Contact Dell support via email, it is free and fairly fast response time, they may have a solution other than reloading the operating system, which I think is what needs to be done.

The screen is blue and says beginning to dump physical memory

Windows has detected a serious programming-error, and cannot continue to run. Turn your computer off. Turn your computer on.
The next time that you connect to the Internet, Windows will send the "dump" of your computer's memory to Microsoft, so that they can trouble-shoot the cause of the problem, and try to fix it.

BEGINNING DUMP OF PHYSICAL MEMORY

Hi, Normally a blue screen of death (BSOD) with memory dump is indicative of a fault in the: Hardware- 1. Possibly memory; 2. video; or 3. motherboard. In some instances, Software- a. Drivers; or b. the Operating System itself. You may want to check the memory installed in your laptop. Some versions have them underneath the keyboard while most would have it at the bottom covered by a lid/plate secured with 1 or 2 small screws. The memory will spring out if you unlock the two side clips. You need to clean the little gold contacts with a pencil eraser. Re-insert back securely and try again. If the above does not correct the BSOD, you may need to replace them. Hope this be of some help/idea. Post back how things turn out or should you need additional information. Good luck and kind regards.

Registry file failure

If the last suggestion i posted didn't work, you need to put in your Windows CD on boot up and when it asks if you want to repair or install press 'R' for repair, this should repair any damaged registry files and Windows files.
