Question about TruTech PVS31170S1W 17 in. LCD Television

We moved our TV from it's normal spot (hooked into different power source and cable outlet) and now it's dead. It won't turn on at all. We moved it back to it's old spot and still no luck. We bought it exactly a year ago. It can't be dead already can it? This it the 17 inch flat panel

If it was plugged in during a power surge without a surge protector, there is a possibility it could be dead. Or if it was plugged into a new outlet without a surge protector, especially if it was never properly shut off before the move, that could kill it. Try unplugging everything and letting it sit for 30 seconds, then try again (with a surge protector if you have one)

Which cable outlet do i hook tv to for cable

most RV's have a selector box that takes signals in from all the different sources and directs them to the cable going into the TV. Should be marked "To Tv" or something similar. Then you just select the source as Cable.

I have a 55" Panasonic flat screen that won't turn

Try disconnecting all of your HDMI cables and plugging the power cord of the TV into another wall outlet. If this resolves the issue, you may have had a small power surge from either your wall outlet or one of your source devices. It is recommended to connect your TV to a surge protector if you haven't done so already.

Press the power button on the TV and not the remote control. It is possible the remote control's batteries are dead. If the TV does turn on, you know you need to replace the remote's batteries.

    • 2
Disconnect the power cable from the TV, then insert it into a different electrical outlet. On occasion outlets are damaged, and do not provide a power current. If this is the case, changing the electrical outlet connection corrects the problem.

Switch the television's input to a different connection. It may be possible you have the wrong input selected, causing the TV to give off a black screen.

    • 4
Connect a different source device (such as a DVD player or cable receiver) to the television. If the source equipment is damaged, you will not receive an image from the hardware. If the TV still does not display an image, there is an electrical shortage in the interior of the TV. To see if there is any way to fix this issue, you need to take it into a local TV repair shop.

Tv powers up but will not turn on

A flat screen television is any TV with a flat glass front (instead of the older, rounded televisions). These televisions do not necessarily need to be thin--projection TVs have a flat screen but are still a foot or two deep. If you find your television does not power up properly, you need to troubleshoot the problem. The exact reason may vary, and hopefully you are able to correct the problem. (If the TV has shorted due to an electrical surge, you can't do anything about it).

My Pioneer Elite PRO-111FD just shut off on it's own, and now won't turn back on. No green or red indicator light... nothing. Any suggestions?

Check your power source (electrical outlet) and the power cable. If electrical outlet is ok, try using a different power cable (the cable that you plug on to the electrical outlet going to your TV set). If everything is ok but still no indicator light, call your technician there might be a problem with the TV power supply.

PS3 static on screen

It sounds like you're carrying interference to your TV. Try moving you station away from any power source. Make sure your hdmi cable is away from any power as well. This may also be a ground issue. Plug your ps3 power brick into a different outlet.
