Makita / mactec designed

the first broken / wear off are at the SWITCH button (so they didnt LOOSE very much on ur FREE spare part.
if u want to change the COL BRUSH just open the BLACK part or the head , if it looks like wear off, THINNED, then buy/ ask for GUARANTEE, for free part .
third problem are the TEETH of the ARMATURE/ the one that SPINS in the middle.

THE CABLES are TOUGH enough.
but i better didnot recommend to buy BO 4556, it is DESIGNED flaw, the METAL shoe WEAR off easily, speacially the 4 corner SPRING shoe.

Why is my 5" sanding disks not sticking to my sander?

The holes are to suction dust for a vacuum attachment or dust collection bag. The sander will have a very smooth pad almost shiny if it takes stick-on discs (PSA). If not it will be a velcro pad and in that case you need the velcro discs. This description sounds like you have a velcro pad. Sticky discs wont stick to a velcro pad.

How do I troubleshoot why the sander is not turning on? Have replaced switch and opened the sander to check all connections and there is nothing not intact.

Try and test the motor coil if you can to see the motor is intact. If you notice a small circuit board inside, you might as well test its electronic components, e.g. capacitors. You may also test the power cord and the pins to prove they are OK. If these options are exhausted, you can refer to an experienced service tech.

Electric Bosch hand held orbital sander belt not rotating properly

My guess is that your sander got gunk in the belt and other rotating parts and you are either burning up the belt, or (hopefully not) the motor windings. Rick

Here's a link to the online manual.
As far as that diagram....didn't you label the wires?
Take a look here, it may help you. circuit wiring , especially the paragraph that begins: "Knowing that electrically common points have zero voltage drop between them is a valuable troubleshooting principle." Also read about resistors. That speed control knob is one.

I have a du-8r clarke floor sander, i need a schurter switch, swiss made, a146f160u4-azm11, 120v, 16 amp. do they still make this part.

I can't find anything on Clarke's website for this tool. But if you have the switch out I would take it to a local repair facility or electrical supply house and have them match it up. There is usually nothing that special about the switches. Let me know if you cant and I will try and dig deeper.
