Question about Televison & Video
There are two problems in the tv i will explain both.
1)in the tv there is a ir sensor located at the inner side of the front panel connected to the main board.when you press any button on the the remote facing the tv the ir sensor in the tv gets that command.but in your tv as you said its making clicking sound when you press the remote button that means the ir sensor is weak but not faulty.it needs to be re-soldered.
2)at the back of the tv there is a power supply board.on that there is a power connector from where the tv power cord wire comes out from the tv.that power connector has two pins connected to the main board of the tv.in your tv the two pins are got loose from the main board.but when you again n again remove n insert the plug this pins gets connection and tv turns ON.but this will not last longer.so its advisable that get the loose components on the main board just re-soldered.there is nothing faulty in the tv main board.only the components have got loose so its happening.this is common problem occurs many times and gets solved after getting the loose components re-soldered.a local tv repair shop has this soldering machine you can get it re-soldered from them if you dont have soldering machine .
thanks.this will help.please do rate the solution.thank you for using fixya.keep updated.
