Question about Maytag Microwave Ovens
Our Maytag microwave oven is leaking some sort of pinetar-like substance from the central cover in the roof of the unit. This is not something that splattered up from a dish. It clearly is coming from the edges of the plastic cover located in the center of the top of the enclosure.
This is the insulating material in the capacitors that are in the circuitry for the magnetron. This is an indication that you have got a failed capacitor in the controls. Your microwave is probably not working to full capacity and soon will quit on you.
