The motor has a plastic gear that breaks easy. It is hard to find, but the solution is to replace the plastic gear.

Cuisinart mini-processor, motor runs but blades get stuck and motor just spins? I tried replacing blade, no help

The set screw on the blade assembly is loose. If the motor does not spin then that is a different story.

My food processor blade keeps popping up (loose) when I put food into it.

You will probably need to replace the sleeve on the motor shaft and the blade. If overloaded the shaft can spin inside the blade which wrecks the connection between them. Replacing both together is the correct solution.

Spindle / shaft or mixer bowl?

if you say the motor is running but no blades moves in the cup.it means the shaft which is connected to the blades and the motors break down.

so i refer u to open it and check which shaft part is broken,or take it to the mechanic.

The motor post on my food processor has deteriorated to the point my blades will no longer turn (just sit there)Can I replace that part ?Or is it too hard for an amature fix it upper? Is that post even...

If the motor is running, the problem can be that the motor shaft is spinning inside the drive sleeve. Replace the sleeve. That is more common than a motor failure.

Motor works but blade does not spin. When I press down the glass while motor is running, it will spin a tiny bit but then stops.

check the interlocking part on the bottom of the blade piece. This part can wear down and then not interlock properly therefore it does not spin anymore. You can buy a new one from the website but it costs $30 and it comes with a bunch of other stuff. It's called the deluxe upgrade kit.

Motor works but will not turn on

You can test the motor by plugging the food processor in, pressing the on switch and using a pen to press the dark grey or black button on top of the base of the food processor. As long as it spins, the motor is definitely good. Next, unplug the food processor. For the food processor to work, you need to have the work bowl, lid, and pusher sleeve all inserted - if one part of the work bowl is not attached, then the food processor will not spin the blade. Once all three pieces have been inserted, plug it in and turn it on. If the blade is still not spinning, then there is a problem with the element that runs from the back of the pusher sleeve down through the work bowl that triggers the motor button. In that event, you can go to Cuisinart's website and order a new bowl, lid, and/or pusher sleeve - if you see any obvious damage to one part, you can order just that one part. If it is not apparent which part is damaged, order the whole work bowl. The work bowl parts are expensive, so I would just write down the part numbers from Cuisinart's website and find them cheaper elsewhere. There is also a video on the website that shows you how to use the food processors - the first part of the video describes work bowl asssembly. Once you get this food processor working, it is going to last forever. Have fun!
