Re: wires from power button to where they connect

Inside the catalogue that came with your motherboard you will find a page in the "hardware setup" section that has the connectors on your motherboard numbered and tells you which connector goes where, and if u can't find the catalogue then plz put the motherboard model number so i can find its catalogue and send it to you or tell you how to connect it.

Hello, You might have a bad motherboard and need to replace.
First, I know its a pain but disconnect and reconnect all cables verify that your not missing one of your power cables look for any connections on the board that don't have cables hooked up to it. take extra care when hooking up your power button cable. Its easy to accidentally place them in the wrong pin.
Hope This Helps

Mobo power

There are jumpers on the motherboard,
check all jumpers are set correctly, as from the user manual, this could be a problem.

check all your front lights are wired properly
power button, reset switch, must be correct too.
double/treble check them before building it.

I hook everything up and turn it on but i get nothing

if you just built a new pc, and hooked up your power button and reset button and mixed up the possitive and negitive wires you may have fried your motherboard. If you hold the power button for five seconds and your pc does not power down, it's fried.

Power problem to cmputer

Kindly check the connection from the front power button to the motherboard. The front power button wire may not be plugged into the correct jumper.
if that wire is hooked correctly, remove the memory modules from the system and all other wires from the board , except the power supply connectors to the board and then power it on , check the status of the light on the power button.
if you can provide us with the model number of the motherboard , we would be able to help you better

cpu casing? What is that? To test the power supply, just use a paper clip in the ATX connector on the green wire, and the black wire next to it. Make sure everything that is hooked up to the power plugs, is unplugged. That should tell you if its the power supply.

Cpu fan wont come on after new power supply put in

what made you change the power supply to begin with? Most cpu fans run off the motherboard, but the motherboard initially gets all voltages from the Power supply to begin wth. Did you assume that because cpu fan wasn't running to begin with, that the original power supply was bad. Not a bad assumption but one that needed verification before changing out a power supply. So it seems at this point that you have an unverified bad power supply, a possible bad motherboard, and a known good cpu fan. Plus at ths point you really don't know of the new power supply is good yet until you see something electrical run with it.
