It is self resetting. There is no button or "reset". If it has not reset, you'll need to buy a new one. This usually caused from plugged filters or blower motor not working. Be sure to correct the problem before replacing the safety.

Thermal safety switch may be bad and not resetting. There is always a small filter somewhere that everyone misses and does not keep clean. Carpet Fresh will clog up filters pretty quick.

Problem with the DeLonghi HHP1500 Mid-Size Heater The heater has worked well for two seasons. We just got back from a long weekend having left the heater on low. When we got back, the light was still on...

There is a overheat safety feature and it can usually be reset. Unplug the heater for 5 to 10 minutes and the plug it back in. If that doesn't solve the problem, there is an internal reset switch, but it's a little hard to find. You will have to remove the back cover, then look for a red button/switch that has 2 wires coming out of it, that go to the heating element. Press that, to reset the safety switch.

But, I must add, the other solution/answer you received ... that it may have burned up the heating element is certainly a reality. In any event, it's not safe to leave a space heater ON and unattended for any length of time. Particularly, since this one somehow slipped of the fireplace hearth while no one was at home. Just be glad the overheat safety switch worked as it should. Electric space heaters are one of the biggest causes of house fires in the U.S.

Kitchen Aid downdraft hood stuck in retracted position

The filters need to be seated properly to complete an electrical safety circuit. This keeps the unit from operating without the filters. The best way I have found to fix them when they get dislodged in the closed position is by using two spatulas. The first is used to move the filter forward a bit and the second is used to keep it pushed tightly forward to complete the circuit.

30" viking downdraft goes up & down fan runs and will not responed when pushing on touch panel

After 11 years of use, the same problem just happen a few days ago - fan keeps running, doesn't respond to the on/off switch. Also cannot reset filter alert. As far as I can tell the entire switch panel isn't working. Or worse, shorted out. Might have to replace the ribbon and some switches.
For example the switches can be found at AllVikingParts.com For example --> http://www.allvikingparts.com/Button_Switch_Assy_p/pv300182.htm
There's a another thread on this forum: http://www.fixya.com/support/t410261-viking_downdraft_ventilator_electrical
I'll post the exact solution as soon as I have it figured out completely.

Have an acer 5510z notebook Model BL50. I want to know if there is a cmos reset jumper switch anywhere. When I switched it on it functioned for a minute and then everything died except the fan.It seems...

I do not believe the Acers have reset buttons or switches. I have reset the Cmos by removing the cmos battery, shorting the two pins with another cmos plug with the wires connected together. I then powered the motherboard up until the BIOS loaded, but you don't have to, to reset it. I then powered down and removed the shorting plug. I put the motherboard back in the case and rebuilt the laptop. The system booted right up with no password, got into the BIOS and reset the information.

Jenn Air Range SVD48600W (Circa 1998?)

ja_question.gif Why are the oven indicator lights flashing? Answer: When power is first supplied to the appliance, a flashing time will appear on the display.
If a flashing time appears at any other time, a power failure has occurred. Press Cancel, and reset the clock if needed.
When the oven is not in use, the display shows the time of day.
If the indicator lights keep flashing after you have tried to reset the controls, then you may need to contact service person.

This is from the Jenn-Air website.
