Question about Epson 5550c / 7550c Replacement Projector Lamp - ELPLP07 Projector Lamp
Anyone know the size rating on the fuse in the lamp housing of the ELPLP07 bulb. It's a tiny fuse (maybe 3/8 inch) but I can't make out any numbers on it.
A main cooling fan broke in the projector causing it to overheat and pop the lamp fuse too. I replaced the fan, so the machine runs nice and cool again. But the "Replace Lamp" timer kicked in from the overheating and there is no manual timer reset I can find, so I think I really only need that fuse. Can't fine the fuse value in any of the 7550 manuals.
Anyone know rating or model# of the tiny fuse?
Have a nice day!

SOURCE: Problem with the lamp
According to Epson the led will flash red in one of two cases: Flashes red with 1 sec intervals - either the lump has burned out(We can rule this one in this case) or the lamps cover is open (try checking the cover's sensor) Flashes red with 2 sec intervals - an internal problem, I'd suggest contacting Epson's support. Good Luck

SOURCE: Projector Lamp is flashing Red
if you know how to open the unit, try fixing its ventilation. flashing bulb light sometimes mean an occurance of overheating. try to clean all the fans and the air vent.

SOURCE: ELP 3300 lamp problem?
probably. try to check the number of light hours( you can check the manual on how to view it) usually 10000 hours could mean that you need to replace the bulb. also check the physical appearance of the bulb, if it has cracks on the ceramic at the back, then you need to replace it.

Hi, this is pretty straight forward. Make sure the projector is off and cooled. On the bottom is the Lamp cover, press the two tabs and lift the cover off. Loosen the two retaining screws and pull the lamp assy upwards to remove. Fit the new lamp and tighten the screws then rfit the lamp cover. You will need to reset the Lamp hours using the "About" menu after turning back on (Not the "reset all" menu).
The user guide can be downloaded from Epson support:

It is an indication that the projector is in sleep mode. Press power button and check for any changes on the led indicators. If the power turns red, it means unit is hot. check if the fan is working and if the air filter is clean or needs cleaning. If the lamp turns red it means the lamp is busted, You will experience this since lamp is clearly blown. But if both lights are red, it means that the unit is busted and will require service.
