I have a Whistler 35 R and the adapter that plugs into the cigarette lighter fell apart. I would like to get a new adapter, but do not know the voltage/amp specs. Can you help with that?

All Whistler's that are not battery powered run on 12 volts with the center tip postive. You can order a power cord by calling 800-531-0004 or whistler's online store at www.whistlergroup.com.

A friend gave me a whistler 35r and I can not get it to turn on, it has now plug in power source so I assume it takes batteries but I can not open it, so i guess im asking how to change the batteries. and...

That model is not battery powered. It requires a 12 volt power cord connected to your lighter socket to operate. You can purchase a power cord at any electronic parts store or from Whistler by calling 800-531-0004.

Power is there but no visual display

does the unit beep at all? Is the fuse ok in the units' power cord? Check these out. If the fuse is bad you can replace it with a 2 amp fuse from an auto parts store.

Whistler 35R just quit. fuse and pwer cord is fine.

Orginal whistler power cords do not have LEDs lights in them and there is no electronics in the plug - 12 volts in, 12 volts out. Sounds like you have a bad cord or a cord that is meant for a GPS unit or other 5 volt device.

its the bracket release button - if you're talking about a button on the left side of the unit. This allows the unit to properly be removed from the windhsild bracket.
