Dryer will heat up first 5-7 minutes then flame goes out!! igniter tries to relite flame however does not work. you can wait several minutes turn dryer off/on every thing works fine about another 5-7 minutes!! igniter glows but no flame during process! exhaust vent is not clogged, you can feel plenty of exhaust on exterior of house. gas line not cinked going to dryer! nothing on inside of dryer interfearing with entry of heat!

Does the igniter glow white or orange? if it is orange you need to replace it. has to be white hot to ignite. if the igniter is white it could be the coils not opening the gas valve all the time - an intermittent problem.

If what your seeing is that the flame starts out and goes off and a few later later the igniter glows but no flame??? then the cause of that is going to be the coils on the gas valve are weak and not opening. Intermitten Heat up

make sure that your vent is not plug up can you go outside your house and feel good air coming out the vent when the dryer is turn on if so the only other things it could be is the coils that sit on the ignotor assmebly or the high limit termistat is not working properly the coils are little black circle coils that sit in the ignitor assmly should have a metal braket across the top of them holding them in you can check resistance on these coils if you have an meter
