They may also be hidden, go to ANY folder (start>documents) for example, then Organize> Folder Options> View (tab)>Show Hidden Files, Fol.... etc That should show them! But if you didn't do this it's either a prank from a buddy or a virus.

Turn the TV off and the Computer off and plug in the SVIDEO cable

Panel in your computer Appearance and Themes Display Settings Advanced - then select your Graphics card Device Settings TV Change the display settings to 800 x 600 Turn on TV You should see both screens however you may change it to one if you like.
If your laptop won't start then remove the battery from the back and just connect your Laptop with the power cord and press hold then power button for 1min.This will help you fix the issue.Incase your laptop turns on but takes lots of time to show the desktop screen then you will have to repair the windows with the recovery disc given with your laptop.

do you have volume control icon in taskbar
in control panel click sounds audio device
then audio make sure default devices are set
then click hardware and then properties make sure
device usage is enabled
then restar pc

This maybe due to the "explorer.exe" process not running.
Try pressing ctrl-alt-del, to start the task manager then select the "processes" tab and click on "file".
In the "create new task" window type "explorer.exe" (without quotes) & click OK.
Your desktop icons should magically appear!
