Re: E210882 board - Dead video

For the onboard graphics card to be disabled you have to restart your computer and click on the "delete" button as much as you can untill you can log on a blue screen "setup screen", or if you can read that the motherboard requires you to click on another button to enter setup "usually F2" the click on it untill you enter setup, then just move the keyboard direction arrows till you get to the choice "integerated periferals" from there you will be able to find another sub choice that tells you your graphics card type, then while on that choice press enter to open it's menu and choose "AGP" or you could also find a choice that says "on board graphics card" then you get to it and press enter and choose "disable" if you're having any trouble with what i just poster you can reach me on my msn or yahoo chat accounts "ahmedconta@yahoo/"

No display

You need to do some simple tests. First make sure the monitor is working - test it with another pc.
Start by disconnecting everything and try to boot at least in the BIOS; if it's the same then replace the power source and try again; if it's the same then install another video card in it and try again; if it's the same then replace the memory sticks and try again. Finally replace the processor and try one more time - if even now you can't get the video to show up then the motherboard is dead, replace it.

Acer ms2220 notebook is dead.want to know which component in the mother board is faulty

If the motherboard will not power up and will not charge it is either the AC adapter or the DC power jack on the motherboard. The DC power jack failing is quite common and it can seem like the whole motherboard is dead when only that is causing the issue. Search on google for DC power jack replacement and they can usually get you going without trouble.

Vga card is dead so the nothing showing on the screen

On motherboards with built in video cards when you plug in a new card the on board card is automatically disabled. Just plug the card in and connect your monitor.

I hope this helps, if so please rate our solution.

You can disable the onboard by visiting your bios.

On boot it will tell you to press del f8 f2 etc to enter the setup from there you can navigate around to disable the onboard and choose the lane your older pci card is in.

No video from the board

Check the motherboard user guide for how to reset to default factory settings. If the BIOS is set to work with the on-board only and the on-board VGA is dead the motherboard is supose to detect that and switch to AGP. If is not doing that chances are not only the on-board VGA controller is gone ... the motherboard is gone too.
Try with a PCI video card.

1.Reboot with the AGP or PCI video card installed - assuming the on-board is gone but the motherborad still OK.
2. Press DELETE key
is supose to go in BIOS settings menu.
Browse and Look for on board VGA adapter ENABLE/DISABLE setting or something similar.

(My bet ? You need a new motherboard.)

Sometimes this problem happens when your CMOS battery already dead. Replace the CMOS battery and run F4 to setup the date and time. Save it and you back to business.
