I have a Whirlpool LER4634PQ1 it was working just fine then all of a sudden the dryer just keeps running the knob on the dryer doesn't move and the air isn't warm. Any suggestions on what to s

there is a cycling thermostat in line with the high limit thermostat and timer circuit,on timed dry its disabled and the timer will run no matter what,on any sensor dry setting it uses the heat of the element to heat this cycling thermostat to move the timer as the clothes get drier as the heating element heats the timer doesn't move, when the heater cycles off from the high limit thermostat then timer moves again, you need to find out if its a bad heating element, thermal fuse or possibly even a circuit breaker in the homes electrical panel tripped out on one of the 2 phases that gives you the 240 volts required to operate the dryer element, the breaker may not show its tripped,so shut it off and back on and try this first

I have a Whirlpool dryer model LER4634JQ0. It now takes many cycles to dry the clothers. I checked the vent coming out, it is not clogged. I can reach in and feel a little fan motor, which I assume...

your vent line from the wall to the outside of the house can be clogged
or your you high heat coil is burned out and just the low heat coil is working, when you switch to high, both coils work. or you have a one coil system and the heat selector maybe defective

Please rate/vote the response Thanks

HOW CAN A DRYER IGNITE A FLAME AT FIRST FOR TEN MINS THEN WHEN THE DRYER WANTS TO HEAT UP AGAIN I SEE A GLOW BUT NO FLAME COMES THE SECOND TIME SHOULD I REPLACE THE THERMAL FUSE

No you should replace the coils. 3a3915a.jpgWhy? You know you are getting power to the gas assembly so that means the fuse and control are functioning. The igniter glows so that is good. The Flame detect is fine because it shuts down the glowbar when it heats up. So those pesky coils get hot and quit. They eventually cool back down and work a little more, very aggervating to diagnose but easy to fix.2b3709e.jpgNote you do not have to remove the gas assembly to replace these coils.

Coils in the back of my whirlp dryer get ht then instantly go out

If the coils get hot then cold it is most likely the problem of the venting. If the heated moist air cannot leave the dryer then the heat will not come back on. You can try removing and cleaning the vent with a vacuum or even a leaf blower ( from the inside of the home to outside )

My Whirpool Duet Gas Dryer is no longer heating up.

This is probally the coils. They tend to fail as the dryer heats. There is a video at www.appliancehelponline.com/servicemanual.html that will walk you thru the troubleshooting. It's a different model but the testing of the parts will be the same.

Whirlpool gas dryer LGR6636PWO heats for appro. 5 minutes & quits heating but still runs.

First check the exhaust vent and connecting vent material for a clog. If vent is OK,replace the gas valve coils.

Heat will not stay on

Hi, very common problem.

The problem is with the gas coils.
When they get weak, they only come on for about 10 minutes and then the machine will blow cold air. There are 2 of them with one being the booster coil. They come in a pair and run less than $20.

Best of luck. Please e-mail me if you have any other questions.
