My phillips wac700 can't read cd

The len that reads the cd needs to be cleaned. I have done this on numerous stereos. Take the unit out of the vehicle, take the top cover off by removing the small screws that hold it in place. you will see what looks like a small eyeball where the cd is when its in the player, thats the lens. Take a cotton swab and some alcohol and clean the lens, put stereo back together. If the plug will reach, plug in the stereo with out installing it in the dash and try it out, the cd should work if not then you have other problems with the stereo.

My cd player will not take any cds in it can you tell me what is wrong

first, check for a cd already inside. you may have to open the stereo and manually remove it. if not, does your stereo power on? if so and there is no other cd in your stereo, then still manually remove it and test it with the case off. if it does not react when you place a cd inside, you most likely will have to get a new one.

A have a cd stuck in my dodge durango how can i get it out?

You'll need to remove the stereo from the vehicle. Now remove the screws along the top of the unit and remove the top - some units have the sides and top as 1 piece. reconnect the poer to the stereo and push the eject. Sometimes the case on the stereo jams the cd up and removing the case is the only way to get it out - I've even had to manually turn the gearing to eject the cd. Next I would replace the stereo - once they start jamming up, they usually don't stop. However, you can try re - inserting another cd with the unit out after re - installing the case to see if it will co -operate with you.
Good luck!!

You most likely need a new radio. They go bad all the time in the Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep. Don't know how many of them I have replaced.

Buying and Installing a CD Player for my vehicle

Most factory stereos are larger than after-market stereos, and after you install an after-market stereo there will be a large gap where the factory stereo used to be. You can go to most stereo retailers to find an install kit specific to your model of vehicle. It is possible to install the stereo yourself, but from experience it has been easier for me to just take it to a retailer and let them do the dirty work for you. Some retailers even offer free installation with/without a minimum purchase.

Cd changer not playing

Check fuses. There are two fuses to this stereo. One that hold memory for the clock and stereo preset buttons and one for turning the stereo on. There are usually two fuse boxes, on inside the vehicle and one under the hood near the car's battery. Again, check ALL fuses. One is usually labeled for the radio/stereo, the other is not.
As for the CD changer, disconnect one of the main car battery terminals for several minutes. This is easier then removing the changer and acts as a reset. Possibley bringing the changer back to working condition. Otherwise, this could be a repair issue, see www.carstereohelp.com

2005 Honda Odyssey - Replacing CD Player

I've been looking for instructions to remove the stereo in my 2005 Odyssey as well. I found these instructions that should help: http://www.collegehillshonda.com/instructions/gen3_odyssey/musiclink.pdf It is actually for adding something else to the stereo, but there are instructions for removing the stereo there. You can easily find a kit that allows you to mount a standard car stereo in the space. You might also check out http://www.crutchfield.com Any stereo bought there comes with the necessary mounting kit and harness for your vehicle, as well as vehicle-specific installation instructions.

CD Stuck inside player

Depending on the make of the stereo it will have a 2 piece casing which will allow you to take one part off , normally the lid by removing a couple of small screws or the lid maybe even clipped onto the lower case. Once the lid is off you should be able to get the cd out. If the stereo is security coded do not disconnet it from the electric supply unless you have the code!
