Sounds like the Vent hose is blocked.
Turn the Dryer on then go outside and check for air. If it's clogged ... Unplug the unit, take the hose off either at the dryer or outside vent, use something to probe the inside like a hanger , (put a small hook on the end) .. or completly remove the vent hose, take it outside ..see if you can see daylight , if not the unclog it.
BEFORE DOING ANY WORK ...DISCONNECT THE POWER

How to troubleshoot a whirlpool gas dryer

sounds like the duct work is plugged somewhere. or the blower fan has stopped. either way this is dangerous. please don't use till repaired. first make sure all the duct work and hoses for the exhaust are totally clear. they are known to get obstructed with lint. check the lint screen also it may look clean, but if you take it out to your sink and try to fill it with water, and it holds the water. that is your problem. to clean, scrub with detergent and brush till water runs easily thru it. finally if all that is checked out ok. it is time to take the dryer apart. (you can usually find procedure on line or you tube) and make sure the blower fan for the burner is working properly, and the bburner tube is also clear of any obstructions.

Dryer not heating enought

The first thing you need to do is make sure your dryer vent hose is clean. An easy test (if you have a really long dryer vent run) is to unhook your dryer vent hose from the back of the dryer and just dry a load of towels like you normally would. If your towels are nice and dry when the cycle is complete, then you know your dryer hose vent is clogged somewhere down the line.

Dryer is heating but taking twice as long to dry clothes as it should. What could be the problem. Clothes that should take no longer than an hour is taking two hours or more.

Since you know for sure the dryer is heating, the problem most likely is lint in the dryer tube. You will have to remove the back panel of the dryer, and then remove the dryer tube. (Not the vent hose, although you may want to make sure that it and the dryer vent itself is not clogged). Remove the dryer filter and normally the 2 screws that hold the vent tube in. Remove the screws from the vent tube and get the lint out of the tube. There may also be lint around the fan. Get it all out. Be careful though, all the edges are sharp and will cut you if you slide your hand along it while "sweeping" out the lint.

Takes multiple cycles to dry normal load of clothes

Have the vent system from the back of the dryer to the outside of the house cleaned. If the dryer can't push air out, it can't bring air in, and the clothes won't dry. Another condition you might be seeing is moist lint developing around the gasket on the inside of the door. That's a sure sign the airstream is restricted somewhere.

Dryer not drying clothes properly

Replace the vent tubing, sounds like something is stuck or it is crushed somewhere. So replace it for about 5 dollars and see if that works. It should since you disconnect the hose and it drys right away

Noisy dryer not drying clothes, water found in vent tube

You either have a restriction somewhere in the venting which you say you have already checked or maybe a bad blower (fan). it may be stripped off the shaft and not pulling any air through the machine. If you run the dryer with the hose removed at the back and it dries well you have a problem with your venting. If it still takes three cycles it's a problem with the dryer. Repair would probably run about $100-150
