SOURCE: Memory full
As you posted, both cameras have their memory full then you need to free up the internal memory either by deleting the contents or transferring them (the pictures) to your computer.
To transfer to your PC, you would need the installer/driver CD that came with the cam as well as a USB cable. You need to run/install FinePix Viewer prior to the USB connection. Follow on screen instructions. When asked to connect the cam do so. All others are explained with illustrations on the User's Manual. A copy od the A700 User's Manual is available here.
Hope this be of help/idea. Pls post back how things turned out or should you need additional information.
Good luck and kind regards.

memory card only. The "smart media" cards are very difficult to find now, as there are no current models which still use that type of card.

i reviewed the manuel and it looks like you can only output d and t on playback mode to a printer to imprint on -date and time stamp on actual pic is not a feature on a lot of models-canon still does it but you need to put camera in postcard size pic mode to do it

I started having a similar problem with my Fuji FinePix F10 after about 3 1/2 years of problem-free use. Another poster had some really helpful advice which I thought I'd pass on. It seems there is an internal battery or capacitor which basically fails after a while, meaning date/time settings etc are lost when the battery is removed. (Some people claim this is a motherboard/chip problem instead - seems to be contentious!) So the camera is faulty, but the problem can be worked around.
The advice I found, which worked for my camera, was this:
- Turn off camera and leave off for approx 15 seconds before opening battery door.
- Change battery quickly (within a few seconds).
- Close battery door and leave camera off for approx 15 secs before turning back on.
This retained all settings when I tested it multiple times. I imagine it might not work if changing over a totally dead battery though.
Hope it helps!

The other answer doesn't work. I tried it. Okay, this is straight from the manual AND I tried it and it worked:
Press Play/playback to view pics.
Press Menu. Under playback menu, scroll down to COPY. Hit OK. Press OK for or scroll to & then hit OK for "Internal Memory -> Card" and press OK. Press Frame or All Frames. Press OK. Done! :)
