I want to scan a form (or anything) and save it as a .jpg, so I can insert text fields for a form fill-in form. I can't get it to scan, because the scan menu is either scan and reprint or scan to a memory card. How can I just scan something to save the image?

Hi,

Introduction You can scan an original, and then save it as an image using your product and HP Solution Center or HP Director. Scanning an original and saving it as an image in Windows XP Follow these steps to scan an original, and then save it as an image. Before you begin Before scanning, turn on the product and the computer. Connect the product and the computer, if they are not already connected. Also, have HP Solution Center or HP Director software installed and running on your computer. This software automatically loads onto your computer when you install the product software. If the Digital imaging Monitor (DIM) icon (I want to scan a - 4cd3259.gif ) displays in the lower-right corner of the computer by the clock (the systems tray), the software is running f923a59.gif Figure 1: The DIM icon in the systems tray Step one: Load the original Follow these instructions to place the original on the product.

  1. Raise the top cover of the product.
  2. Place your original print-side down on the glass. NOTE: The engraved diagram next to the scanner glass shows exactly where to place the document (usually on the right-front corner or the left-front corner).
  3. Close the scanner lid.
Step two: Scan the original from the computer Follow these instructions to scan the original and then transfer the image to a computer using HP Solution Center or HP Director. NOTE: This section includes instructions for both HP Solution Center and HP Director. Follow the instructions for only the software you installed on the computer with your HP product. For example, if you have HP Solution Center installed on your computer, you do not need to follow the steps for HP Director. How can I add a "hot key" to my iPad. I want to be able to fill in values such as my email address in one keystroke. Is this possible?

If you use Google Chrome and login with a google account, you can save responses to fields when you fill in forms and it will auto populate those fields on other forms. Typical fields are first/last name, email, address, phone number(s)

Scan document save as word file

You cannot save a scanned document as a Word document.
You need to save it as a jpg image file first and the use a image to text/word conversion program to make a word document.

I now have office2010 how do u scan a form in to be able to type on the form?

    Hi,

what you want to do, is not possible. Only way to properly write on a form, is that you have the original digital computer version of it, sure you can scan it, but you can not use / write on the same way. Sure you can use the computer to ADD text into the form, if you scan it as a picture, and then use the Microsoft paint program to add text on the fields. But its not the same as having the original digital form to write on.

Or then I'm not informed on how to Scan a form, to turn it into a form and then to fill out that form on your pc.

How do i scan some paper document then save it then e-mail it to my self then e-mail it to prosfected employer for a job many thanks.?

most scanners do have a program to scan and send as email attachment in pdf format or any.It can also be in an image format such as jpeg.
My rough way of doing it is to take it with a digital camera and send the pic through email. You might need to resize or change the resolution if needed, but it works!

I want to scan a form and save it, and be able to fill in the blanks later. I can save it as a pdf document, but can't edit it.

When you scan it, the original manufacurer's software should allow you to save it as a Word document or some other editable format. PDF, JPG, TIF, and other image formats probably won't work.

Need to scan a form to be filled out to computer

If you scan a form onto a computer, it won't behave as a form by default. This is because the computer is just storing a picture of the form, and doesn't see it as a form.

To make a scanned form into an electronic version, you will need some software that lets you define the regions of the form that can be filled in by the user. the full version of Adobe Acrobat lets you do this, as do the less expensive programs CutePDF Professional or PDfill.

Basically, you scan your document into a pdf format and use the aforementioned software to define which regions on the form should have typable text, checkboxes, etc., then you re-save it as a fillable pdf.

This works well, I do this with all my rental applications, etc.
There is a little bit of learning required to do this, but if you spend some time with the program and its helpfile you'll be creating forms with the best of them!

    Editable forms with Adobe reader?

With adobe profesional you can make a PDF form, and send to the recipients. They can fill the form with Adobe reader and send it to you back, but only the data will be sent to you, not all with the pdf.
You can collect the data with your adobe profesional. Your programmer of medical paperless system can make the program to put that data in your database.
    Here is the simple procedure:
    1. Create form: Open adobe prof, menu advance --> Form --> create new form. You will go to Adobe design to create the form, there you can also retrieve your scanned document.
Don't forget to put "submit button" and your email address.
    2. Then save as pdf form. It is ready to be send to your recipients.
    3. The recipients will fill the data and send to you by pushing the "submit button".
    4. You will receive the data in your mailbox, as an attachment of email. You can use adobe prof to collect it, example to put it in Microsoft Excel.
Go to menu advance --> form --> Create Spreadsheet from data files. A dialog box will come out, put in the files you received from your recipients. then go on, you will have the Excel data.
For put it in your database of your system, your programmer should create a program/ included in your system's program.

For Guest, to fill up is easy, just open the pdf form with Adobe REader, fill it and click the submit button.
