Question about Kitchen Appliances - Others
I have a Phillips toaster. It has been working great. Suddenly this morning it would not go on. The heat element would come on and toast the bread but only if I manually held the knob down. Can I repair this easily? I have cleaned the toaster and no crumbs or large pieces seem to be in the way.
It sounds like the magnetic coil which holds the lever down to the toast position has burned out. you probably can't get the part for repairing it as it would be too costly
