Zanussi dishwasher water input

Hi,
I know it is recommended to use cold water input, but is it possible to use a hot water input instead.
Thanks

It is possible but if you use a hot fill you will find that the rinse aid will produce a large amount of foam and the dishes wont dry properly

Washes but water does not heat up and dishes cold

The dishwasher does not heat up the water. The water should be hot coming into the dishwasher, check your hot water supply source, whether it be the hot water tank or be sure the water inlet for the dishwasher is not connected to the cold water line

Hi there I have a Zanussi zdf121 dishwasher which is only doing a cold wash, not heating at all. Not sure if its hot fill but the hot water is fine elsewhere. Any ideas please Pete

Do you have it hooked up to hot or cold water supply? Most residential dishwashers don't come equipped with a booster heater. If it's connected to the cold side, you'll have to replace the angle stop with a single outlet stop and replace the hot angle stop with a double outlet stop. This should help out, if not, make sure you have hot water in the faucet before starting the dishwasher. Most dishwashers need at least 120 degree hot water supply.

Is my zanussi aquapulse de 4744 dw hot or cold water fed ?

It is more than likely hot water fed. You can trace the line probably to under your kitchen sink and see where the line follows up to your hot/cold on your sink. There would be then another line coming off the hot which would lead to your dishwasher.

Can i connect a dishwasher to the hot water pipe??

In my opinion you always connect to the hot water unless there's some compelling reason not to like your dishwasher's manual says to connect to cold. Your dishwasher will heat up whatever water you have connected it to, but since you have a tank of preheated water already sitting in your water heater you should use that.

The "resin in the water softener" example, I think, makes no sense since your dishwasher will heat up the water to something like 160 degrees Fahrenheit no matter if the input is cold or hot...

Problems! zanussi zsf6120

You can check the heating element with an ohmmeter and it should read a few hundred ohms. Don't know about the thermostat but it should be inline electrically with the heating element and should ohm as a short when cold.

Water not hot

Dishwashers are suppose to be hooked up to hot water. If you had hotter water it would clean just fine. 120 deg or more!
