Have you tried to empty windows password. there is a solution for those who has forgotten their password. With no reinstalling, with no the original password, with no data loss, you can reset the password. As following,
1. Login to a computer that can link to Internet. Download Windows Password Unlocker 4.0 and decompress it on that PC. Note that: there is a .ISO file. Burn the .ISO file to a CD.

Basically, at Windows XP Welcom Screen, simply press Ctrl-Alt-Del keys sequence together twice, and you will be shown a Log On to Windows menu which you can specify User Name and Password. In the User Name text box, key in "Administrator" (without quote) and leave the Password Field blank. Then press Enter or click on OK. If there is not password protects the Administrator account, or blank password is set, then you will be able to access the Windows with full administrative privileges as Administrator.

What is the Windows XP Administrator Password?

Windows XP, the most popular versions of Windows, was widely installed by PC users. Do you remember after you installing your first copy of Windows XP, how long did it require you to realize that you didn't know the administrator password? I vaguely remembered that it was about a week before I needed to make some changes in the file system. It suddenly came to me to be logged on as an administrator, but I do not know the password of the administrator!

Luckily, Windows XP (both Home and Professional versions) have a "hidden" administrator account which is autogenerate when install. This account usually doesn't show up on the logon screen and most people are totally unaware of its existence. Usually it is ok because we didn't need to user this account very often, only when we don't know the administrator password, need access to the Windows XP recovery console or boot into Windows XP safe mode, the default Windows XP administrator password would come in handy.

What is the Default Administrator Password in Windows XP?

Knowing the default password of Windows XP administrator account would be very useful.

Try to leave the password blank. The password reset disk can only be used with the computer it was created on and it can also be reused to reset the account's password multiple times. However, you need to know the password of the account you want to create the reset disk for, and you must create the reset disk before you forget the administrator password
Here is how to reset XP administrator password with the XP password reset disk:

Insert the XP password reset disk to the computer

Click the Use your password reset disk item on the XP logon screen to start the Password Reset Wizard. Windows xp pro logon error message "unable to log you on because your account has been locked out"

Hey!
If your computer is a part of a business network, you should contact the network administrator so he/she would setup or reconfigure your user account correctly.

If it's a home computer, you'll have to log on as Administrator to unlock your account. To do so:
 1. Click Start -> Log off (user name).
 2. Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete twice.
 3. Type Administrator in the user name and fill in the Administrator account's password. Leave blank if there isn't any.
 4. Once logged in, Click Start -> Run...
 5. Type in: LUSRMGR.MSC and click OK.
 6. Double-click on Users folder.
 7. Double-click on your locked user account.
 8. Uncheck "Account is disabled" and click OK.
 9. Close "Local Users and Groups" window.
 10. Click Start -> Log off Administrator.
 11. Login to your user account!
Note: If you don't have access to the Administrator account (because you don't have the password), please do tell and I'll give you the instructions on how to reset it.

GOOD LUCK!
Pelu.

How to reset your lost windows XP/NT/ 7 password

The World Cup is coming and you attemp to log in to your Windows xp,and realize you can’t remember the password? It is very annoying. What should you do when you lost windows password to login to Windows system?

It is easy to gain access to windows after losing your user account password.Just simply login as the computer administrator, and go to control panel->user accounts. There you will be able to reset the password for any of the systems user accounts.

Things get more tricky if you have lost administrator password, It's a sickening, powerless feeling to be locked out of your own computer though this happens more often, everytime we feel so helpless. What should you do in facing this situation. You have tried everything you could but failed.

In reality,There are a couple of ways you can gain access to your windows Adminitrator account.

Method 1: Windows XP and further versions also provide another method to recover forgotten password by using ""Reset Disk"". If you created a Password Reset Disk in past, you can use that disk to reset windows password.

Method 2: Use a password Reset Disk
To use the password Reset Disk to log on to the computer, you can follow these steps/ If your computer is current or former member of the domain, go to "domain Windows XP Professional" section and follow the steps.

Windows XP Home Edition or Windows XP Professional Restart the computer. In the Windows XP logon screen, click the user name you want to use, and then press Enter.Note: You will receive the following error message:“Did you forget your password? You can click the "?" Button to see your password hint.Or you can use your password reset disk. Please type your password again. Be sure to use the correct uppercase and lowercase letters.”
Click "Use a password reset disk." "Password Reset Wizard" starts. Through the "Password Reset Wizard", you can create your user account a new password.

In the "Password Reset Wizard" dialog box, click "Next."The password reset disk into the CD drive, then click "Next."
In the "Type a new password" box, type a new password, and then "re-type the password to confirm" box, type the password again. In the "Type a new password hint" box, type the password prompt, and then click "Next."Click the "Finish", then try to log on to Windows XP.

If you can reset your password, and now can successfully log on, you have to solve this problem, and completed all operations. If you still can not log in, please try Method 3.

Method 3:
There are a lot of tools and utilities that can be downloaded and used to recover, reset, retrieve or reveal windows password. However, I've tried a couple of these utilities through the years and my favorite is the windows password key 8.0. This utility is used to reset password of any windows versions.
1. Login to a computer that can link to Internet. Download windows Password key and install it on that PC. Note that: there is a .ISO file. Burn the .ISO file to a CD or a USB flash drive.
2. Insert the newly created CD/USB to the locked computer.
3. Reboot the locked computer and press'F2'or'Delete'to enter your BIOS setup and then you will see the instruction
Now you can regain access your Windows operating system and create a new administrator password. The best thing of using this method is that you shouldn't lose any data on your computer. Furthermore, If you can't find a computer which has a CD/DVD writer or the locked computer have no a CD-ROM, You can burn the ISO image file into a USB flash drive and use the USB flash drive to recover your Windows administrator password.

Try these three methods the next time you have lost Windows administrator password, which you do not need to reinstall Windows system for getting back to Windows by removing lost or forgotten password.

How to Recover Windows 7 Administrator Password

Microsoft Windows 7 is the latest version of Microsoft Windows operating system. Compare to its predecessor Windows XP and Vista, Windows 7 is more powerful and more secure. Unlike Windows XP, Windows 7 adopted a new password protection system that we can't use the hidden administrator account by default. The problem is that when Windows 7 administrator password lost, we can no longer recover our lost password by using the hidden administrator account. Therefore, how to recover the Windows 7 Admin password if we lost or forgot it?

Don't worry, here are two methods for Windows 7 administrator password recovery:

Method one: Use another Windows 7 administrator account

If you had created more than one administrator account on your Windows 7 computer and you can remember the others admin password, you are lucky. In such a case, you can change one of the administrator accounts' password if you login with another administrator account. What you need to do is just following these 3 easy steps:

Step 1: Click Start -> Control Panel -> Add or remove user accounts

Step 2: Choose the locked administrator account.

Step 3: Click Change the password or Remove the password. And then you can change or remove the lost or forgotten password.

Please note: If you select this method, the locked Windows 7 administrator account will lose all EFS-encrypted files, personal certificates, and stored passwords for Web sites or network resources.

However, if the locked account is the unique administrator account on your Windows 7 computer, you can try the method below.

Method two: Use third party Windows password recovery software

There is plenty of software which is used to recover Windows password available online. You can choose one of them to create a Windows password recovery disk and use the disk to recover Win 7 Admin password. I recommend Windows Login Recovery. Then you can follow these 4 easy steps:

Step 1: Download the software and install it on another computer which has a CD/DVD writer.

Step 2: Run the software and burn the ISO image file into a blank CD/DVD.

Step 3: Recover Windows 7 administrator password with nearly burned password recovery disk.

Step 4: Reboot your locked computer without a password required.

Now you can regain access your Windows 7 operating system and create a new administrator password. The best thing of using this method is that you shouldn't lose any data on your computer. Furthermore, If you can't find a computer which has a CD/DVD writer or the locked computer have no a CD-ROM, You can burn the ISO image file into a USB flash drive and use the USB flash drive to recover your Windows 7 administrator password.

Try these two methods the next time you lose or forget your Windows 7 administrator password, which you do not need to reinstall Windows system for getting back to Windows by removing lost or forgotten password.

Cannot use my password to get back into Windows XP

Because of the security features built into Windows XP, it is virtually impossible to get back into the system without the password. You have several options to try and get around this problem.

If you have the access to another user account with administrator rights, you can use that account to change the password of the account that is locked out. You can also use the default Administrator account that is built into Windows XP.

First you need to boot the system into the Safe Mode.
1. Restart your system.
2. When you see the blue Dell globe or screen, press the ( F8 ) key about 3 times a second.
3. You should get the windows startup menu. Use the (up or down) arrow keys to highlight (SafeMode)
4. Press (Enter) on (SafeMode), then press (Enter) on (Windows XP).
5. The system should boot to Safe Mode.

Once you are at the Account Log on Screen, click on the icon for the user account with administrator rights, or click on the icon for the administrator account.
Note: For Home the Administrator account isn't normally shown & in Safe Mode you have to press Ctrl+ALt+Delete keys twice to show. For PRO you cando this in normal mode

When the system has booted to the desktop, use the following steps to change the accounts password.
1. Click Start, Control Panel, Administrative tools.
2. Click Computer Management.
3. Double click Local Users and Groups, double click the folder users.
4. Right click on the account name that is locked out, and click on Set Password.
5. You may get a warning message about changing the password, simply click proceed.
6. Leave the New Password box blank , also leave the Confirm Password box blank.
7. Click OK, and OK again.
8. Then close all Windows, reboot the system and try to log in.

There are also applications that can recover the password for you. The following companies provide these applications at a cost.
iOpus* Password Recovery XP here.
LostPassword.com, here
Asterisk Password Recovery XP v1.89 here.
Windows XP / 2000 / NT key here.

If the above information does not help in recovering the password, the only option left is to format the hard drive then reinstall Windows and system software.
