Rubber mat flakes in washer

I washed our bath mat and the rubber on the bottom flaked off during the wash cycle. I can hear the rubber flakes inside the washer when I spin it. Any suggestions on how to clean it? Can this cause any damage?

My washing machine is getting little black flakes in it. They are very thin/fine, what can I do?

Depending on the material the flakes are made of they could be one of the rubber hoses that has perished and is eroding from the inside or it could be the sign of a future mechanical breakdown.

My lg Washing Machine WF-T853A is putting black rubbery chunks and flakes through every wash.. This has been happening for about 12 mths and is getting worse to the point where half the lint bags are full...

sorry to ask you this but are you sure the flakes are rubber? usually the black flakes are lint from the clothes. to help combat this problem try this.1- buy 2 pkts of bicarb of soda or baking soda, 2- select high water fill. 3- select hot water fill.4- pour soda into an empty machine. 5- shut the lid and push the start button. 6- let it fill and wash, let it wash for about 5 to 10 min"s , do not let the water drain.7- turn machine off after letting it wash for 5 to 10 min"s , and leave the water sit in the bowl overnight . 8- in the morning start cycle again and let it go thru complete cycle. this should get rid of most of the lint. you might have to do this twice depending on how dirty the plastic tank is. please reply 4 more help and good luck.

There is still some of the rubber in the tub blocking the pressure switch line. It will take a lot of tedious cleaning to get it all out. Had the pleasure several times in my career. Eric

Washer stopped at begin of wash cycle

The problem seems to lie in the rubber backed mat. If the rubber has begun to peel of the mat it often-times get stuck in the drain pump. The best thing to do at this point is to disconnect the electrical cord, open up the machine, drain out the water as best as possible disconnect the power cord to the drain and the hoses. Clean out the drain pump. reassemble. You should be good to go., Unless the drain pump is burned out (left running plugged up too long) if thats the case, replacement of the pump may be neccessary.... Hope this helps...Good luck!.... Kenmore elite HE3t

F2 is a drain erro. Take the 3 screws off the botom panel in the middle, bottom you will see a large white plastic looking pump. this unscrews counter clock wise. have something ready to catch the rushing water. The trap is probably full of the rubber backing or strands of the rug. After you unscrew it, there is a trap there that can be cleaned. You may have to repeat this a couple of thimes to get all of it out.
