Question about Sport & Outdoor - Others

1 Answer

I know this is the parts email but I'm really not sure of the problem> Could you foreword this to someone who might help steer me in the right direction. I have a 1350 Merc. with 3 side bowl carbs. With the motor upright I can pressurize the fuel system and there are no leaks. With my experience with cars this tells me that the needle and seat are working properly. Though I could be wrong. If I tilt the engine more than a few degrees all three carbs start to leak fro the main air intake. I removed the fuel filter and needle and seat assembly with the carb just under half full. As soon as the engine was tilted with no pressure from the pump the carb started to leak. Can you tell me what I'm missing so I can order the right part? Thank You.

I have a new power steering pump. should i also replace the filter?

There is no filter for the power steering. That car has Variable Assist Power Steering (VAPS). Make sure the pump is really the part you need before installing. There are a lot more components to that steering system that could cause problems. Could be pressure switch or control valve. I don't know what your symptoms are but, you should have someone look at it that is familiar with that system and able to properly diagnose the problem before you start changing parts.

I need to scan a signed letter and send it through email to someone......put the signed copy into the printer and hit scan which it did but now do I get it to be part of an email?? ...

1 Turn on your computer and printer, and make sure they are connected.
2 Load your original document.
3 Click Start >> All Programs >> Dell Printers >> Dell Photo AIO Printer 964 >> Dell All-In-One Center.
4 Click Preview

You should now see a preview of your scanned document.

Adjust the dotted lines if they are not completely around your document.
There is a 'Send scanned image to:' option -

You can save the document to your desktop.

Now go into your mail program and when in the body of the email, use your programs features to attach the scanned file document to your email (you did not specify the email program you use, so this is just a general mention of attaching the file to your email).

Hi...I just bought the Logitech Driving Force GT steering wheel and pedals...the pedals work fine, the buttons ON the steering wheel work fine...but the actual steering part DOES NOT I can...

-Check if the connections are plugged in properly -Does the wheel calibrate (turn left and right and then centres) when you turn on the wheel. -Doe the game support the wheel? - Plug the DFGT into the USB port 1 of the console AFTER you turn on the console. So turn on the console and then plug in the DFGT into the USB port 1 and turn it on.
ALSO if you are using the DFGT for pc, make sure you install the "Logitech Gaming Software" from the logitech website =

I want to know what is the name of the part that is connected to the steering rack and runs up and connects to my steering wheel. It looks like it has a yoke and universal joints on both ends. When I turn...

some parts stores and dealerships just call it the steering shaft, and some call it a sector shaft even though it really isn't,if there is a clicking noise it maybe the bearing assembly in the end of the steering column where the steering column exits the firewall & just after the auto transmission shift linkage connects to the arm on the column there is a bearing in there and it can get a build up of grime in it sometimes you can spray it with wd-40 while someone rotates the steering wheel back and fourth and after that spray a little bit of chain lube in it.If that is not it have the air bag "Clock Spring"and components checked out hope this helps point you in the right direction

Sloppy steering 96 Ford Bronco

You need to check all of you front steering components have someone turn the steering wheel back and forth. While you lay on the ground check all joints and components for play then check your steering shaft under the hood see how far steering wheel moves to each directions to when your tires start to move your gearbox has an adjustment on it that can be adjusted it looks like a screw with a nut at the bottom loosen nut a few turns and hold it with a wrench then take screwdriver and turn screw about 1/4 keep checking wheel for play you can tighten to much so keep checking that wheel turns back when you let go if you have any loose joints undernieth replace that part
