Push the Menu button (middle button on the lower part of the camera) and go over to settings and change the time and date. To operatee the timer, while in camera mode, push the right button on the lower portion of the camera and this lets you use the timer mode (again you can look in the manuel for further instructions.)

Tip: The max point reward for answering a question is 15.
After you set the timer (to 10 seconds), you simply aim at the subject and press the shutter button, like you would when taking a picture. The difference is that the picture will be taken only after the 10 seconds has elapsed.... and not immediately ( like if the timer has not been set at 10 seconds).
Putting Yourself in the Picture
The Self Timer creates a 10-second delay between the time you press the
Shutter button and the time the picture is taken.

Ok, you need to hold down the multi frame button on the top left of the back of the camera, then turn the dial (front I think) till it shows the little clock timer on the screen. It will give you a 10 second timer.
It's the "shooting mode" button on the top rear of the camera -to the left of the eyepiece - looks like 2 or 3 sheets on top of each other. Hold it down and use the wheel to select the self-timer clock.
