Question about Toshiba Satellite A135 Notebook
Hello and thanks for your time...I have recently some how have my toshiba laptop starting up in safe mode. Have tried what I think is everything to get it back to normal mode. Pls.help! Laptop is almost useless like this. It won't hardly let me do or open or start any thing/programs. Even has knocked my sound to off/muted.
Thanks again and look forward to being able to surf soon again.
I have a toshiba satellite 200 pro,i had the same problem.Toshiba told me it was a problem with my registry,Microsoft told me it was an N-vidia graphics problem!! Toshiba then sent me an update which W.Defender refused to let me run until i overided it!.........to my cost!! I had to do a complete system restore,i lost over £300. of I-tunes downloads,(i'll back it up later is no longer said in our house.lol). Even after a complete restore it still started in safe mode.
Now this might sound daft but i eventually found the problem myself! I adjusted my screen resolution to lower than specified, got rid of fancy shadows and underlines, changed my screen saver to the bare minimum and then.............I found that the main reason was.....as you so rightly pointed out in your problem! in my sound/playback devices/speaker properties vista had set itself to a default setting for a desktop pc. Make sure yours is set to 16 bit,44100hz (cd quality). I hav'nt had a problem since. also i would advise you run a registry booster even if its a free trial version, run it every day just to dust it off. hope this helps.oh and another top tip,not just for toshiba users but every other user, only install updates from windows/microsoft.they know the system you are running and they have much more intelligent beings working 24/7 to keep the like of us button clicking web surfing know it alls happy.lol
