I have a KX-T30810 EASA-PHONE system using Panasonic phones.
One phone jack was configured for a 2-wire answering machine with a cordless
phone along with the Panasonic phone. It used to work perfectly but about a
month ago the answering machine quit recording and I can no longer make calls
on the cordless phone. When you press 'talk' on the cordless phone, you get
what sounds like a busy signal. I can receive calls on the cordless phone
though. If you unplug the Panasonic phone the cordless phone and
answering machine work fine. It will just no longer work with both phones on
the same jack. I suspect the 'program' switch got put in the 'program' mode for
that phone and caused something to get messed up.
Does anyone know what needs to be reprogrammed on the local Panasonic phone to
allow both the phone and answering machine to work on the same jack?
Thanks,

I need to add an answering machine . I was using an old bell unit that allowed me to record several messages and chose which one to use for different times of the day, lunch, closed etc. I recently bought a new panasonic digital answering machine Tg6700 but even though it has 2 lines, it doesn't seem to work the same way, at any rate, is there an answering machine that I can buy that will work with the panasonic easa phone. it has 2 lines, if one is busy it goes to the onther line automatically.
