IE 8 and Firefox 3.5.3 crash when printing

The browsers (both IE 8 and Firefox 3.5.3) keep crashing when I try to print. I use Windows XP and a Canon Laser Shot LBP-1120. I've tried reinstalling the drivers for the printer, but no success. What can I do?

To clarify, I need to give it some background:

I've had the printer for a while, but - and this is going to get a bit weird - about a year ago, due to a virus attack, I had to format and reinstall the entire computer. After that the printer refused to speak anything but Chinese. It worked, but spoke Chinese. That time I used the install-CD that came with the printer.

I then downloaded the Swedish files from the Canon website and installed them. Still Chinese, but it worked. Then I downloaded and installed the English files. Now it won't print from a browser. From Open Office or any other program, no problem, but I cannot print websites from within my two browsers.

There are no other printers listed under "Printers and Faxes". I've disconnected the printer, uninstalled the old drivers/software and rebooted between every installation - and I've done it once more, just to be safe. It still speaks English, for which I'm happy, but it won't print websites directly.

It sounds like a conflict with the current driver and/or printer software. Is this a new printer to replace a previous one? Do you mean the browsers crash when you try to print from a website? Or do they crash if the are open when you try to print anything? If you click on "Start", "Control Panel", "Printers and Faxes" do you have other printers listed? You can try the following: Disconnect the Cannon from your PC Using the Add/Remove software completely uninstall any printer drivers/software packaged including the Cannon drivers. Reboot(if you haven't from the uninstall yet) Re-install the Cannon Drivers Plug in the Printer

Why do farmville 2 keeps crashing?

You might try changing your browser (Firefox, IE etc) also see if you have the latest versions. It also could be stuff on your computer. You might want to also clear the cache and even do a complete virus scan if possible.

It said that my mozilla firefox has crashed, how will i be able to fix it as soon as possible

A browser "crash" is not a permanent problem. It simply means the browser has encountered a problem during that browsing session, and cannot continue running. The browser will then usually close. (If not, you should terminate the browser program - Use the Windows Task Manager, or restart the computer if necessary.) When you restart the browser, it should then function normally again.

There are many factors that can lead to a browser crash. Those can include glitches in the browser's code, or problems with the operating system, or problems with a particular site that has been visited. Most current browsers (Firefox, IE, Chrome) are quite stable, but nearly every browser will experience a crash from time to time. It's a small annoyance, but not a cause for serious concern.

To minimize the likelihood of a browser crash (and other system malfunction), you should make sure that:
(1) your browser is up-to-date, and
(2) your operating system has all patches and updates installed.
The current version of Firefox is 3.6.15. It's also good idea to run a full anti-virus scan of your computer periodically, and to do other forms of regular maintenance (disk defragmentation, eliminate temporary & junk files, scan for registry errors).

My internet explorer keeps shutting down crashing and box comes on that internet explorer has stopped working and then the details describe APPcrash what do i do to restore? i paid and ran regtool to fix...

Hi! IE 8 has some errors / bugs in genuine itself, so if there is any bug in system, then these both errors lead to IE struck mode.

please consider to remove the present IE and try to install IE 6 or IE 7 for the time being that to if you want to do in IE, otherwise try to opt for Mozilla or chrome.

but the word "APPcrash" represents word of "application crash", so better to install fine one before complete uninstall of present one.

Don't forget to mention error code in next reply mail if the problem still exists with above operations!

Can't print pdf or from either IE or Firefox....always crashes the app

It is because the website prohibits you from printing PDF you want, or the PDF you read is encrypted by author with owner password. Try whether you can download it or not.

Internet Explorer wont let me get on facebook

Try using a different browser, it's a pain to switch from a browser you've been using for a while, but since IE is known as one of the slowest browsers, it might be a relief. Try Safari, Firefox or Chrome.
Hope this helps!
