What is the best settings to take pictures daily.. i find my pictures are quite fuzzy and blured

For every photo shooting, it is recommended to set all values and settings to automatic so the camera sensors will adjust according to the surroundings, focus, subject, and light conditions. Also for a tip to minimize blurry captures is to lower the ISO value and to allow at least a fraction of a second before moving the camera away from the subject after clicking the shutter.

What is mode ?there are some pictures on the screen for using different modes but I don't when I should use them. Can I have a manual?

Mode is a behavior setting for the camera. The most common is "automatic" and this will rely on the camera to adjust settings like shudder speed and focus. But sometimes you need more control...

"Night" - will assume you need a very long shudder speed. while the camera will take pictures in lower amounts of light, you also have to work harder to keep the camera still.
"Portrait" - This mode will adjust the automatic focus assuming that regardless of activity in the background that you want a picture of the object or individual directly in front of the camera
"Video" - Takes low quality video instead of high quality still shots.
"Landscape\Panoramic" - This setting is the opposite of portrait and assumes that the landscape is the main focus of the picture regardless of activity in front of the camera.

Other Modes: Cameras may have other modes that similarly allow for specialized photos. Some examples would be Black and white, color filters, light filtering, and overlays.

Photos taken outdoors are very bright

As far as I know, Digimax 240 doesn't allow for normal ways to adjust camera settings for different environments (shutter speed, ISO settings, etc) but the menu does allow for Exposure Compensation to be adjusted (plus or minus 2 stops). Try adjusting that to find what works best for you.
Only other options are using a decent photo software to adjust on a computer afterwards, or look in to getting a camera that allows you to alter these factors for when you take a picture

I purchased a Nikon Coolpix S200 and all pictures come out blurry. How can I adjust this?

Are you pressing the shutter button half-way and allowing the camera to lock the focus before pressing the rest of the way?

Poor quality pictures.

You need to adjust the shutter speed-if there is a tv setting on it-use it to adjust the shutter speed to something like not 1/4 of a second but 1/1000 of a second what this is how much light is allowed to come in and the longer the shutter speed the worst the picture will be

Camera will not focus while taking pictures in low light settings

I am not familiar with this camera, but if it has a manual setting for ISO when it starts to get dark outside you should set the ISO to 800 and see if it works. That's my only guess. I use all manual cameras so I'm not sure if your camera would have a manual setting like that, but I had a canon powershot that allowed me to adjust the ISO so maybe yours does too.

Nikon n65 will not take pictures

nachbor,
Not knowing if you are shooting in auto or have recently switched from manual to auto shooting you may have adjusted your f-stop on the lens, make sure you adjust the ring to align with the auto setting (the f-22 in red letters) with the dot on the lens) then the camera will be allowed to open for enough light to take the shot.

Digital camera . Konica Dimage G530. Problem Outside in bright light the pictures are all white. Pictures ok inside in low light. Video mode works ok inside and outside.

you need to adjust the exposure for that camera. since having too much light makes the photo all white.

Exposure and Focus Just as with film, a digital camera has to control the amount of light that reaches the sensor. The two components it uses to do this, the aperture and shutter speed, are also present on conventional cameras.
  • Aperture: The size of the opening in the camera. The aperture is automatic in most digital cameras, but some allow manual adjustment to give professionals and hobbyists more control over the final image.
  • Shutter speed: The amount of time that light can pass through the aperture. Unlike film, the light sensor in a digital camera can be reset electronically, so digital cameras have a digital shutter rather than a mechanical shutter.
