No it won't. But you can hook it up to a computer and use it as a external dvd drive...but not hd dvd.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Can i use a wireless usb device plugged straight into the xbox

I use a usb wireless keyboard made by logitech and it works fine. If you like to play cames on the pc like halo or call of duty because you can use the mouce to aim and click to shoot, you can do the same thing on your 360. Log onto www.consoleshop.com and look under xbox 360 accessories and you will find an adaptor that will make non-usb keyboards and mice work to game with. otherwise the usb keyboard will just be able to type. you can download music to a usb and play it on the xbox. Download videos with the usb and play them or view photos. Ipods and mp3 players are compatable as well. I currently have a western digital 1terabyte (1000GB) external harddrive that is hooked up to my 360 via usb. I had to format it to FAT32 but that was easy to do. I have over 150 movies on it. as well as 14gb of music

Thompson DVD DTH271E refuses to play HD DVDs but fine normal DVDS, cant seem to get any help via Thompson, & think may need "firmfare" update? New machine but in Spain & language...

Hello there.

Push "Play/Pause" and "DVD Rec" on the dvd recorder a few seconds to see the service menu. There you can find your firmware version.

Post back the version for us.

Hope this helps.

Xbox 360, certain game no sound

If your Xbox 360 does not have display you need to stop the heat getting to the chips. You can actually do this yourself as many have in this forum using the recommended Xbox 360 Repair guide.

Basically the guide will show you how to stop the heat build up with videos and household items, of course if you are in doubt send it in.

It has a preview video on the website.

Or of course you can send it in to have it fixed.

I cant play games

This message sometimes comes up if you have copied the game to the 360`s hard drive , the game will only be playable if it is in the DVD drive as the 360 needs to know if you still own that game . It will spin the drive to see if you still own it and then load it off the hard Drive .

Xbox 360 Not Playing Music Through External Hard Drive

In windows media player 11, click on the small down arrow below library and select media sharing. Check the box for share my media then turn on you console. I dialog box will pop up asking you to approve file sharing. You can then customize your options for that device. If the dialog box dose not pop up you have a firewall problem. For the Iomega Media Drive, you have to use the software that came with it. Open the program click on configure, select the folders icon, and look next to your media folders and make sure DLNA is on otherwise your console cannot access those folders.

Xbox 360 HDDVD Player

Hi,

Check the region code of the disc against your consoles region code, if they don't match it won't it.

Also have you installed the updates for the HD Player, if not either download them via Xbox live or download them from here and copy to disc:

We have a wharfedale dvdr24hdmi player recorder but the hddvd we have purchased will not play.A note inside the dvd disc suggests we consult yourselves for a firmware or software update.

The wharfedale dvdr24 is an upscaling dvd player and not a hd dvd player which is why it wont recognise the disc you are trying to play.

HDMI just means that it connects to your tv via an hdmi cable, so unfortunatley you'll need to buy a hd dvd player to play your disc.
