Question about Uniden Cordless Phone

Constant Buzzing sound on recipients end

When I talk to people they complain about the constant Buzzing sound on recipients end. I can't hear it on my end. Serveral people have mentioned this to me so it's my phone and not theirs. I have DSL and have the the phone plugged into the conditioner line correctly.

Any suggestions on what to do. Of course I have unplugged and re-plugged to no avail.

It might be due to EMI(electromagnetic interference). if other phones or internet lines r nearby, u can hear the buzzing sound.. if EMI is the cause, then its best to keep the phones isolated from the devices causing them. Good luck!!

Tip

Do you have a constant buzzing sound in your handset?

The NiMH batteries used in these phones have a useful life of about 2 years. With only 2.4v at normal operation, the amplifier circuit will start to pick up interference as the voltage drops in an old battery. If you hear a constant buzzing, no matter your location or distance from the base unit, then it's most likely your battery causing the problem. Some phones are more susceptible than others causing the buzzing to start earlier than another phone. Battery Buzz is a good indication to change your battery as soon as possible. As the problem gets worse you will have voice and connection problems. Since transmitting uses the most power, you will be unaware when your voice quality drops dramatically for the people on the other end of the call.

No sound is heard with calls on Skype, I get video, and i hear sounds made by the program, but no sound from the recipient of the caller. I get sound when I video chat Mac to Mac, but not Mac to Windows,...

Ok, by the sound of it both yourself and whoever you're calling have not set up Skype quite right.
On your end, you need to:
  • Make sure you have a working microphone - try using Skype's built in 'Echo' feature (try calling 'echo123')
  • In Skype -> Preferences -> Audio, make sure that microphone is selected.
On their end, make sure they've done the same - they must have a working microphone, correctly setup with Skype in order to send you sound.
Hope that helped!

When I talk, my friends complain of a high pitched buzzing. I'm using the Turtle Beach X11 via a wired controller on the Xbox 360.

Same issue here. Can hear the high pitch buzz, and friends complain about it.

I have 2 Turtle Beach X11 headsets, and 3 Xboxes (std, Elite, slim)

Unplug the mic, and no high pitch buzz. Plug it back in, and its back.

Tried all 3 boxes experience same issues

Playing with volume and mic settings doesn't make a difference.

Would love to have a fix for this :-)

My Saitek GH20 Headset Mic Buzzing

Hello.

I had the same problem for like ten minutes ago. I have a Swedish Vista computer and don't know all the translations but I'll give it a go.
This will reduce the buzzing not remove it.

Go to the control panel and click "sound". From there go to "recording" And double click on the microphone. You should get a new screen up. Click to the second button "Levels". Now drag the "microphonestrenghning" (the bottom one) and drag it down to 0 DB.
(optional) Drag the "Microphone" up to 100.

Hope this help you. It worked for me at least. :D

Buzzing

I would think that your mic part is shot or you need to adjust the volume of your mic. Go to Start---->Control Panel---->Sounds And Devices---->Volume----->Advanced now adjust your input mic levels a little lower.
