What lens?

If it's a CPU lens, remove the lens, clean the contacts, reattach the lens, and jiggle the lens to seat the contacts.

If it's not a CPU lens, you'll have to use it in the Manual (M) mode.

My nikon d89 is flashing ERR.

Charge your camera battery fully and try restarting it. I don't believe that it's an error with the lens. That would signal an fEE error...not an ERR.

Turn the aperture ring on your lens to F/22 or whatever is the highest number on the ring and try it.. If your lens doesn't have a ring, there is a broken switch on the camera.

Turn the camera on, getting a error flashing it says FEE, what could it be?

hi...The transmission system that moves the lens in and out has a problem with it's gears. There is most likely a gear or an actuator that has fallen out of alignment and is getting stuck at a certain point as the lens comes in/out.There is some disturbacnce of the lens arrangement that is preventing the lens from coming in/out.Any of these symptoms above could trigger the camera to shut itself off to protect itself from further damage. thank u rate me!!!

Error Code FE E

Make sure the F-stop ring on the lens is turned to the minimum aperture setting. Usually 22 or 32. The camera won't allow you to shoot unless it is. It will try to warn you by flashing the FEE code.
