A FLASHING FEE COMES WHEN THE CAMERA IS TURNED ON.
If it's a CPU lens, remove the lens, clean the contacts, reattach the lens, and jiggle the lens to seat the contacts.
If it's not a CPU lens, you'll have to use it in the Manual (M) mode.
