Why wont my mitsumi cr-48x9te cd burner not work

why is it my mitsumi cr-48x9te cd burner will not work in my hp compaq dc7100sff pc I replaced internal dvd with cd burner & when i ran the add hardware wizard it saw cd burner but reported an error & said this device may not work properly

Install a the appropriate cd burner driver software in your
laptop so that it will function properly. A CD disc installer normally goes with the unit you purchase. You
may ask assistance from the store where you buy your
CD burner. Or you can download it from the internet.
