Electric wall oven will not heat up

All of my controls work and they appear to function in response to my pushing buttons BUT I have no heat in my oven. It will not heat or broil although the red indicator bar does show up on the control screen.

I'm having the same problem. Everything seems to work, except no heat from elements. I suspect the oven temperature probe is out of wack. We used an oven cleaner then noticed on the can it said not to use it in a convection oven. Perhaps that screwed something up.

This is ovenmad from the previous post. I had a repair guy come out and he found the problem to be the Safety Thermostat. When tripped, this allows everything to work on the oven except the elements. He did not have the part with him so will return in 6 days to replace it. That should solve the problem. No idea why it tripped. The safety thermostat is located on the rear of the oven so we will have to pull out the oven to replace the thermostat. Again, this was a Frigidaire Single Electric Wall Oven made in 2004. Hope this helps somebody else.

My Frigidare/Electrolux Single Wall Oven (PLEB30S8CCB, made in 2003) had both regular and broiler elements fail to heat after a self-cleaning cycle. The problem was the Safety Thermostat (part #318004900), but note that that part has a red Reset button. I pulled the oven from the wall and for my model the Safety Thermostat was on top of the oven about 12 inches from the front under the metal shielding that covers the whole top of the oven. I pushed the Reset button and heard a click. The oven seems to work fine so far, but I have not tried another cleaning cycle.

It is possible that a relay on the control board is bad. GE has a relay in the common circuit to the bake and broil element. this has been a problem in a few ovens I have repaired. Check for this it is usually an orange relay on the board.

I have a Magtag wall oven MEW6530DDS model. The panel buttons do not work. I've had the oven about 3 yrs. Do I need to replace the control panel or control board?

The control board. As long as none of the buttons appear to be stuck. Press each button one at a time feeling for the retraction or click. If this checks good replace the control board. Here is a link that should help http://appliancehelponline.com/ovenerc.html

Getting F7 code on a ge profile performance oven , oven light will not turn off and control panel will not respone.....beeps when I push CLEAR OFF button.

F7 A = Function pad button stuck or
B = Bad clock Unstick button or
Replace Electronic Range Control (ERC)
Try gliding your finger flat across the keypad rapidly and see if you can unstick the key / touch pad. Usually once this code appears it will repeat.

On self cleaning ovens this is the service check:

Key Panel or Control by:
1. Pushing CLEAR/OFF pad.
2. Disconnecting Ribbon Cable from control and waiting at least 32 seconds to see if Code recurs

If code recurs, problem is in the control. Replace control.

If code does not recur, problem is with the Key Panel.

Thanks for using FixYa!

My start button on my kenmore built-in oven w/microwave won't wor

my kenmore model number 911-47699100 oven doesn't work. Everything except the oven and broil works--cleaning, all timers, start button, etc. All that happens when you push start is about every 30 seconds, two relays can be heard making and breaking kind of like a click then immediately a clack. No error codes appear. Replaced sensor but that didn't work. Any help would be appreciated.
