Question about Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX12 Digital Camera

1 Answer

My panasonic has amazing imaging stabilising properties, and crystal clear images. But the flash is too bright, and washes everything out far too much, making faces and scenery white all the time. The colours arent natural more than often. They're just wishy washy. So I bought a sony, and the colours are much more natural, and flash much more reasonable, but the image quality is really not great at all, especially in low light conditions, and the image stabilising is almost useless!!!! Photos are often fuzzy/noisy too. Not sharp at all compared to the panasonic. Aaarghhh!!! Is there a way of getting the panasonic to tone its flash down? :)

Photo shots: the pictures look as if a super flash wash used, even when flash is not used. Movies are o.k.

Hi,
It is problem of ccd imager chip in DSC-T1 camera that gives you washed out still image after taking shot/ stored image, you may get live view correct in camera mode and movie but it saves taken still picture over bright etc.
Replace ccd imager chip by local camera repair shop to solve this issue.
Thanks.

Lumix fz-20 panasonic has message please turn camera off and then on again

Hi,
Does the camera start up as normal? Is the message intermittent? When does the message appear? (i.e. when zooming, when taking a picture, etc)
Unfortunately this message doesn't have one clear meaning. Or rather, it does - it says "something is wrong with the camera". From what I noticed with Lumix cameras, lens is usually the reason for this. (e.g. if there is a bit of dirt stuck in lens gears you would end up with the same message). If it's dirt in the lens, the solution isn't easy, you either need to have it repaired at panasonic service, get a replacement lens from an otherwise defective donor camera from e.g. ebay and replace it, or alternatively dismantle and clean the lens yourself if you're brave.
On one occassion I saw this message appear due to a problem with flash circuit. Disabling the flash sorted it out.
I would recommend first trying to disable any fancy options in the menu (e.g. flash, image stabiliser, macro, etc) and resetting the settings to factory state via the menu.
Good luck,
Raf

Image result over bright at day light

Same problem here with the A430 I contacted Canon tech support and it looks like I'm going to be buying a new camera because it's not worth the effort and money to get it fixed. Rest assured, the new camera will not be a Canon.

Bent image

Excelent description, whats happening is your set starts to show a blue convergence problem and is only correctable by replacing the blue convergence amplifier IC,the set has 3,one for each color, not all of them develope problems but they all develope loose conections, after the IC has been replaced there are adjustments to do.If you are familiar with tv service this information will give a place to start but if you are not too familar be safe and call a servicer to help you.Lets US know how it goes.
