I cant get the lock of my i pod

Connect your iPod to your computer and open iTunes. When you disconnect iPod from the computer, it should no longer be locked. This will only work with the computer that you first used when you first connected your iPod and ran iTunes.

If this doesn't work, you can restore your iPod to factory settings, which has no lock code. Please note that this will erase all data on your iPod. Afterwards, you can add your music and data back to iPod.

If you want to to do this, connect your iPod to your computer and run iTunes. Click on your iPod on the left side of iTunes, then click on the "Restore" button on the right. After it's been restored, click on the "Sync" button to copy all your music and videos back onto your iPod.

Connect it to your PC, run iTunes, click on the iPod within iTunes, then:

1) Click on "sync" to make sure any media purchased on the iPod is copied to the PC.

2) Click on "restore" to restore the iPod. This will remove the passcode, but will also remove all media, so then:

3) Click on "sync" to copy all media back onto the iPod.

Cant unlock my ipod nano.

Hi

To unlock your ipod you'll need to connect it with the pc it is last synced to. After connecting it open itunes and from the main screen click on restore, it will unlock your ipod.

Remember after restoring you'll lose the menu settings and other settings saved on your ipod however no data will be deleted from the ipod.

Please accept the solution and revert for further assistance.

Thanks

Ok i locked my ipod and cant remember the combo and i cant find "my computer"in which every1 says to go to to unlock it i need help!!!!!

If your iPod touch is password locked, the only way to get past it is to force the unit into restore mode by doing the following: 1. Plug the iPod touch in to your computer. 2. Hold the sleep/wake button and the menu button down at the same time. Keep them both pressed until you see the 'restore' screen (an iPod cable and an iTunes disc symbol) on the iPod touch. Release the buttons. 3. iTunes should now display the iPod touch, along with a message that the iPod touch is in recovery mode. Click the RESTORE button in iTunes to restore the iPod touch. Please note that doing this will erase the contents of the iPod touch -- that's how the system is designed to work: a passcode lock is meant to protect the data on the iPod.

Ipod lock code

If you can't remember your lock code on your Nano, you will have to restore the Nano via iTunes, there is no other way around this, as there is no way to recover your lock code.
Restoring your Nano will erase everything on the player, and restore it to factory defaults, after this is done you can restore all your files and settings to your Nano.
Here is instructions on resoring your Nano in case you aren't sure how.

Ipod is open but i cant play any song..its lock .What will I do?

"Screen Lock" is provided by the iPod nano, iPod (5G), and subsequently released iPod models. Earlier iPods do not offer this feature.
In the Apple Support Site, Apple notes that the "Screen Lock" function:
Allows you to set a 4-digit combination to prevent someone else from using your iPod while it is not attached to a computer. When an iPod is locked, you must enter the combination to unlock the screen. This feature is different from the Hold switch in that the Hold switch only prevents iPod from turning on accidentally--not keeping snoops out. Screen Lock only locks users out of the user interface. It does not encrypt data on your iPod. For example, if you use Screen Lock and then connect your iPod to a computer, you'll be able to manage music on your iPod with iTunes and access all data on it in disk mode (contacts, notes, and any other files you have stored on the iPod). This support document also provides additional information on locking and unlocking the iPod. According to Apple, if you have forgotten the code, you can unlock the iPod by doing the following:
Connect your iPod to the primary computer you use it with (the first one iPod synced with), and open iTunes. When you disconnect iPod from the computer, it will no longer be locked. If you can't unlock iPod using either [the code or connecting it to the computer you use to manage its songs]. . . you can restore your iPod to factory settings using iPod Updater.
