Each component, liek TV, Radio, CD player, CD Changer, etc operate on different voltages. When the power surge/cut off, you might hae been playing a music CD possibly, which means only that circuit was on. Since you are getting sound when using radio or TV, means the amplifier is also OK. This being a hardy set and can be used at any angle. Therefore the two things which could/should get any damage is the optical Laser unit and the CD Tray mechanism and/or the motor which spins the disc. There are fuses for each and are located in the control panel & since I can't predict the position/angle it was being used at I too cannot pinpoint which or both these circuits got affected. My recommendation is to find out same from any authorized service center technician for repairs. Only a trained tecnician will be able to find out which transisot, IC, resistor, etc, that has been affected by checking them out with the help of a multi-meter. However don't loose hope it could only be the inividual fuses or one particular component which is affected........................sodeep

How do I unlock B&O beosound 9000? Hi, have bought a beosound 9000 from a lovely gentleman who gave me a fake pin code and has since buggered off, not answered emails, or letters, or calls regarding...

You can only go to a b&o dealer to obtain a mastercode for the product, you can then change the pin code to one of your own.Proof of identity will be required along with the serial number and preffably the name and address of the original owner and where it was purchased.

Beosound 9000 scratching top cd

You have to look up in the manual which way the two arrows on the underside of the unit are pointing when the CD player is located on the far right. The arrows are screw heads which appear in two holes on the underside. If, for instance, you are playing the unit lying flat on a shelf or table top, if you flip it up and forward to get at the arrows, the two arrows should both be pointing left. If you are mounting it on a wall, it's a different arrow combination. I had the problem you describe and this fixed it for me.

Setting up Surround SOund to LCD Television

All you have done is purchased the speakers for a surround system. So now you need a Surround Sound system.
The surround system, should have a power output no greater than 100 watts per channel. And be capable of connecting 6 ohm speakers.
The choice of unit will depend on price you can afford and the features you want. Check your TV to see if it has a Optical out socket. Or just HDMI sockets. If it has an optical socket, make certain that Surround unit has a couple of these. You will also need to purchase an optical lead, you can pick these up in cheap bargain shops. If you have a DVD or Blue Ray player, check them for the same. If one or more has co-axial sound output, make certain your amp or receiver has one. The more items you have connected to the receiver using optical out, the more sockets you will need. The more digital inputs on the unit the better it will be. The receiver should have at least Dolby Digital 5.1 settings and possibly DTS on it.
